Tibidabo in Barcelona is a fantastic destination that offers a breathtaking view, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists. I recently visited this enchanting place with my young kids, and it proved to be a delightful experience for the entire family.
One of the highlights of Tibidabo is undoubtedly the magnificent panoramic view it provides. Located on a hill overlooking the city, the vistas from the top are simply stunning. As the sun begins to set, the warm hues of the sky create a magical atmosphere that enhances the beauty of Barcelona both during the day and at night. Watching the cityscape transition from daylight to a sparkling nighttime spectacle is truly unforgettable.
For families with young children, Tibidabo is an excellent choice. The amusement park located at the summit offers a wide range of attractions suitable for various age groups. From gentle carousels and thrilling roller coasters to exciting shows and entertaining games, there is something to cater to every child's taste. My kids were overjoyed by the vibrant rides and had an absolute blast exploring the different areas of the park.
However, one aspect that left a bitter taste in my mouth was the exorbitant parking fees. The cost of parking at Tibidabo is ridiculously expensive, which can be quite off-putting, especially for budget-conscious visitors. I would highly recommend considering alternative transportation options, such as public transportation or ride-sharing services, to avoid the hefty parking charges.
Overall, Tibidabo in Barcelona is a captivating destination with a spectacular view and plenty of attractions for families with young kids. Visiting during sunset allows you to experience the beauty of the city in both daylight and nighttime, adding an extra touch of magic to the visit. Just be aware of the steep parking costs and plan accordingly to make the most...
Read moreOn my first visit few years back, I went for a July weekend. A mistake. Panoramic area was packed full, no shade anywhere, all the queues were 1 hour+, but at least I got some prime views of Barcelona, two attraction rides, and some food.
This time, I went for a weekday in June. Park was almost empty, restaurant closed, store closed, most stalls closed. Out of the five attractions, Automaton museum was closed, because the main park was closed (why is it still advertised as a Panoramic Area attraction then?), Aeroplane was closed due to wind (it's the highest hill around, there's always wind???), so I went for Giradabo. One revolution, and we're out, all the other gondolas were empty. Then came the fire drill. Planned, but not reported anywhere on website. The last stalls and all three (!) attractions closed and we were done. After one hour of waiting outside we got our money back and went home with a day wasted. Tibidabo people were nice and understanding, but still, not a nice experience.
Next time, I'll get the views from the church next door and...
Read moreI was visiting the park with my sister who uses a wheelchair. I was very surprised to see the parking lot is totally prepared and has lots of parking spots for disabled people. We did not buy any tickets since it’s very difficult, if not impossible, for my sister to enjoy and to use the attractions, so we were just chilling and enjoying the view. We tried to use the lift to reach a lower level because it’s easier than using the ramps, and the staff stopped us because we didn’t have the bracelet tickets. How unfriendly of you, I must stay. In this situation, I really think you could be more helpful for disabled people. Is this really what you stand for? A person in a wheelchair cannot use a lift unless she pays… that’s just… sad. It’s ridículos how you (don’t)...
