To be honest, I wasn’t impressed with Mount Tibidabo amusement park. Yes, we can view Barcelona from a bird’s eye view, great scenic view but the crowd was such a disappointment.
Lots of families with strollers. Queues for the rides were long. There are in total 6 levels, level 6 being the entrance. You will have to get down via staircase to get from one level to the next. It was fine going down but was really torturous to go up especially in the cold weather. There are lifts but priority given to family with strollers, so be prepared to wait long for your turn if you do not have young children in strollers.
Toilets for the ladies were always full, long queue.
We spent half a day there only to take 3 rides due to the long queue. There was no estimated time shown when we get in line. However, for some rides, the staff came out to let us know how many minutes/hour we will have to wait before our turn comes, so that was helpful as it helped us decide whether to continue with our wait.
Getting there from city centre was far. From city centre we took a train and changed to get on the funicular. Then we had to continue with a bus ride. Again, queue was long, bus frequency about 15 minutes and the bus is small. We ended up waiting for about 4 buses before we boarded the bus. Going back was a torture. We decided to take bus T24 back to city centre. Again the queue was long, we only had €50 to pay for the bus ride (€3 each and there were 4 of us) and bus driver refused to accept and told us to change at a nearby hotel (thank god one of the passengers offered us smaller denomination of €50 to exchange with). We ended up standing all the way and the bus ride was very uncomfortable as there were lots of strollers and crying babies.
I have been to Universal Studio(Singapore), Tokyo disney land, Tokyo disney sea and Mount Tibidabo amusement park pales...
Read moreSlow operations, be prepared to wait a long time even with a small queue. You can't wear glasses on the attractions, even when wearing a special strap (which is allowed in other parcs with even wilder rides, like for example Portaventura, Europapark, Disneyland Paris, ...). Avió (airplane attraction) has very small seats. Even if you're only a little bigger around the thighs or waist, you won't really fit and be prepared to sit weirdly for the duration of the ride. This might be uncomfortable. Went to see Voyage to the Moon in Dididado where the first room shows an English trailer of the movie, so we expected an English movie, but then the full movie was in Spanish. Interactibi is a good shooting attraction, but the queue moves slow as only 8 people at a time can enjoy the attraction. Luckily Embruixabruixes gives you the opportunity to view the nice view over Barcelona, as the indoor parts are quite boring and seem cheap. It also looks like there were other things to see indoor before. Muntanya Russa is a good attraction with a nice view and has a smooth track. Best ride of the parc. Probably a good parc for families who live nearby and don't have experience with other attraction parcs. Cause if you know how other parcs work or are a themeparc/attraction parc fan, the slow operations and weird rules on rides make a trip to Tibidabo quite...
Read moreVisiting the park on 27.12.2024 was honestly one of the worst experiences in my life! The place was so extremely overcrowded that you could barely move on places and need to wait minutes for someone to make way. Queues were so big and lond and wide that on places it was difficult to distinguish two queues. At 16 48 on many attractions there were employees carrying labels Queue closed - more that ONE HOUR before park! Being there for 5 hours I wasn't able to make even one ride nowhere, my daughter managed to get only the baby train for which we waited 40 minutes - possible the most basic ride you can ever imagine.
Paying more than 60 Euros to wait on queues all day. I am actually wondering why people are doing this to themselves.
My daughter was measured 94.5 centimetres and the lady on the big wheel did not let her get on after waiting for 1 hour after that my daughter burst into tears. The lady that did not let her get on did it only because we were talking English and my children were wilder than normal.
I definitely will never visit this place again in my entire life. Not even basic crowd management or anything. Absolute disgrace for 21st century. All they want is more and more money
PS: on that very big area there wasn't even one basic playground for children to play while their parents are staying on the...
