Our visit to Los Arqueros golf course was the biggest disappointment so far in the time we have been coming to the area. The setting of the course is nice, the course has a design by world class player Seve Ballesteros, but it suffers from absolutely dismal quality, especially of the greens and tees. The first nine is in much worse condition than the second. All understandable, but the lack of information about the deterioration in quality when booking online is hard to understand. The price, even with the discount on the 94 Euro, is absolutely not in line with the quality provided. A further 50% discount would be an absolute prerequisite for a player not to go home with bitter feelings. Before the game we were given strict instructions from the marshal regarding the pace of the game. Added to this was the information that from this year onwards, play from the white tees is only possible for players with a professional licence. In light of the quality of the playing surfaces, this sounds like a very bad joke. Our recommendation is to avoid the course until the quality is improved to the...
Read moreSpain golf vacation 2/5. Coming to Costa del Sol to play some good courses. In order to use our Golfhaftet card wisely we choose to play this course and it was great decision. We had one of the first tee times so we had nice view from parking lot and restaurant terrace which is really beautiful. Checking here and booking was very simple and fast. Staff is very helpful , pro-shop is very well equipped. Training areas like in most of Costa del Sol courses are just few steps from clubhouse. Opening hole is nice par 4 downhill, the other holes will open in the valley. Front nine is very challenging and course is not easy to play even if its not too long but fairways are very narrow and green quite small. Back nine were much more exciting for me with more nice views and interesting shots than front nine. Signature hole would be hole number 13, also 14 is very nice. Quality was as I expected, I would only decrease rating for uneven tee boxes and many blind shots. I did not score well but I love it here and would definitely come again and price...
Read moreI recently played at Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club and really enjoyed the experience. The course layout is beautiful and well thought out, offering some truly scenic holes and a nice variety of challenges. The quality of the fairways and greens was good — in a few spots they felt a bit soft and damp, but overall everything was well maintained and in great shape.
The golf club complex itself is lovely and has a very pleasant atmosphere. My only real complaint goes to the buggies — they were incredibly slow. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever driven a slower one on a course before!
We also tried the restaurant. The food was decent, but not perfect. My pasta carbonara was unfortunately a bit of a disappointment — it had cream in it (definitely not authentic!) and was way too salty. Still, the overall dining experience was fine.
All in all, it’s a beautiful course with great conditions, and I’d happily play here again — maybe just with a faster...
