Museo del Puro Palmero| Museum der palmerischen Zigarre — Attraction in Breña Alta

Interesting museum about cigars and its connection to the island of La Palma. Unfortunately all the infographs on the wall are solely in Spanish, a German and English translation are available as handouts at the entrance, it saves space to put a lot of info in the rooms but it's not a good solution in my opinion. With those handouts you don't need to go into the different rooms to get the info, walking around with a A3-sized handout is cumbersome. Less info so they can put up multiple language will be the best option, although an audio tour would be even better.

The objects displayed in the museum don't have a English nor a German translation at all, which makes them useless for non-Spanish speaking visitors.

The real Tabaco plantage and cigar roll station is by far the best part of the museum, here you can see how the tabaco is grown, processed and dried and how the cigars are hand crafted. Without this I wouldn't have recommended the museum.

The shop offers a wide range of cigars of different brands, sizes and quantities and other local products...

Had a blast the one day I had the chance to actually enter the museum (schedule is a bit constrained) but once inside you can tell whoever designed the tour had passion for the subject.

There are multiple screens explaining the somewhat fascinating history of canary islands tobacco subculture and how it has been developed to our day.

Auch für Nicht-Raucher ist der Besuch absolut lohnenswert, da der Fokus mehr auf der Kultur und Geschichte als auf dem Konsum liegt.

Das Tabakmuseum auf La Palma ist eine wunderbare Mischung aus Geschichte, Handwerk und Kultur, die in Erinnerung bleibt.
