I think this is one of the coolest little spots in the North of Spain. It has so much space/sand in which to lay out. It has a cool little bar, an ice cream shop, a couple of stores that sell T-shirts and stuff. Their is a restaurant near by and it just has a chill vibe. It's one of the only beaches between Gernika and Bakio that has enough sand to lay out comfortably. Gernika obviously doesn't have a beach but is famous for the bombing it received from the Germans. A bombing that was approved by it's dictator at the time Generalisimo Franco. And since many people visit Gernika due to its historical significance and Pablo Picasso's representative painting of the bombing, Playa San Antonio can be a place to visit afterwards. Read moreEs una playa grande y tranquila. Tiene servicio de socorristas. Con marea baja se pueden dar largos paseos llegando hasta enfrente de la playa de Laida. Pero hay que tener cuidado y mirar por dónde se pisa porque hay muchas conchas de ostras y te puedes cortar. El agua no es muy limpia, salvo si uno se baña frente a Laida cuando sube la marea. Como el agua viene de mar abierto está más limpia. Cuando la marea está bajando el agua proviene de la ría de Gernika y está más sucia.
