Calo Des Mort

On 26. july 2024. Calo Des Mort is closed due to safety reasons. You can see this only when you come to the last road you need to take to get to this beach. To find this place on google maps, you need to type Hotel Riu La Mola and then there is a road just straight ahead. It is forbidden to park any vehicle in that road. We parked on the street before this hotel and then started our 13 minute walk. It is a shame they didn’t put the sign somewhere earlier that the beach is closed so we don’t have to walk all the way. But even if you manage to get to this ‘beach’ not sure what is pretty here. It is very small, full of stones, very little space for a swim. I just don’t think this beach is worth...

Beautiful beach near Caló des Mort We visited beach just next to Caló des Mort – and it was absolutely stunning. Crystal-clear, warm water and a gentle, shallow entry made swimming very pleasant. There are some rocks when entering, but it still feels safe and accessible. We had no trouble getting there from the RIU hotel – the path was easy and the area well marked. Questa caletta non mi ha particolarmente entusiasmato. Obiettivamente parliamo di un luogo con una vista mozzafiato , acqua pulita e con un punto di forza non indifferente, si tratta di uno dei pochissimi luoghi dove trovate poco vento, e di conseguenza il mare meno mosso è più calmo rispetto a gran parte delle zone di Formentera che sono molto ventose. Per raggiungerla bisogna parcheggiare a poco meno di un km, si prosegue a piedi per una stradina fino ad arrivare alla discesa. Scendere non è particolarmente pericoloso perché il tratto è corto, ma bisogna fare molta attenzione perché si rischia di scivolare, i gradini non sono fatti benissimo, tutt’altro. La spiaggia è molto piccola , se si arriva tardi difficilmente si trova anche solo un piccolo posto, anzi, direi impossibile. Molte persone si sistemano anche sugli scogli, dipende dai gusti personali, a me non piace. Per alcuni potrebbe essere un posto bellissimo, per i miei gusti no, al contrario l’ho etichettato come il posto che mi è piaciuto meno. Penso che non ne valga la pena dal momento che a Formentera ci sono tanti posti da vedere e dove rilassarsi, ma sopratutto che sono facili da raggiungere. Se vi piacciono i posti molto wild e non avete necessità di bar e servizi intorno (non c’è nulla vicino), ma sopratutto non sentite il bisogno di stare comodi allora fateci un salto.
