Mirador de Entrelagos — Attraction in Cangas de Onís

The place itself it's beautiful. 3 stars for chaos. We planned 2 trips in 2 days. After first day we cannot stay overnight. Not sure why a car on parking lot is a bigger problem for Natural park nature than driving all the way down and next morning back??? But OK, that's the rule. We were told we must go down and tomorrow we can come again. What was the surprise that next day the road was blocked!!! No cars on Saturdays and Sundays after 7:30. We were at the road block at 7:40. But there is no sign, no information anywhere about this! Instead of one clear sign on the road side and on the website, there were complete day two people on the road blocking it (no surprise why Spanish economy goes so bad with their over-eymployement. But some cars were able to enter. So after 30 mins of discussion we were allowed to enter as well as members of the Austrian mountain club as Spanish mountain club members were the ones passing as well. So if you go in the weekend, enter the road before 7:30, else you will need to use bus...

Breathtaking! The only thing that nobody is talking about and is very important for your next trip is: after 9am, they will close the road atop and there will be taxis and ALSA busses waiting just near the cove to ask if you want a ride. The busses costs 9€ and the taxis(van) 10€ which we did not know. So if you want to have more time and chill, have a coffee at the café on top of the hills, either choose another road, walk for 16 km, cycling or go there early. This is perhaps their way to prevent pollution and to of course earn a bit of money for the natural park but 45minutes of stay is way too short to enjoy, savor...

Heaven on Earth!

I visited this place in June, the weather at the beginning was cloudy with rain, mist and fog. But the people working for the shuttle bus company told me that the weather when you climb up is much better. I was happy that I went up and saw the beauty of the nature with my own eyes! Be careful though if you are going by your car, the road has animals, a lot of curves and is narrow.

Also be careful, the weather up there is very variable it can change in minutes, from clear sky with sun, to foggy weather that you can't recognise the road...
