La Manga Gokart — Attraction in Cartagena

okay. first of all, when i was there it was over 500 people waiting in line. so of course i needed a bathroom break after standing there for 13 god damn hours! when i asked the non-english speaking staff in sign language if i could use the bathroom, they finally let me in after they though i was going to bomb the place.

then i found out that the staff toilets never gets cleaned. the amount of dirt and who knows what it was is shocking. i quickly opened the door and got the hell out of that room, needed to hold in everything for the next days in line though.

over to the ride. when i got in the seat i got my damn leg stuck between the gass pedal. then a staff came to me as i was sure he was going to help me, no. he grabbed the god damn start string, as he was about to start the go kart i panicked as my leg/foot was still stuck, i panicked but the staff was zoned out or something so he started the thing and i went off as my foot was pressing down the gass pedal. i immediately crashed as i had no control over my speed.

after the crash, the same zoned out staff came up to me and said something i could't understand. he then stopped the go kart and helped me out, i managed to stand but it was for sure just pure adrenaline holding myself together. we then walked out of the track in a "staff only" walk way. he patted my shoulder and walked away with a smile as nothing happened.

after that i walked towards my car, but then i collapsed. i then woke up in a hospital. the hospital staff told me that i had broken several rib bones and fractured both my arms.

so overall i would not recommend this...

Staying at La Manga Club, this place is just a short drive away.

First experiences, unfortunately ringing to book didn’t work, as we couldn’t understand one another on the phone.

We decided to drive here and found it open.

Initially we found the prices high compared to the UK, €29 for 8 minutes for the fast 350cc cart seems steep.

We decided to book for 16 minutes....

It was long enough.... !!

The course is good, some challenging parts too.

My colleague managed to blow a tire, he was trying hard....

So in the end had...

We had a good time there. Service was good. I tried both the F500 and F400 cars and I liked the F400 better because they were newer and better handling. Great view. Wish I had brought cash with me because they have coin games there, I had to drive 10 min to an ATM to pick up cash and exchange it as the track. But this day was lovely and I will recommend this place highly. My 6y old and 8y old got to drive. I also went to Cartagena GoKart and La Manga one was much more...
