Best beach in the island, no doubt. In the earlier morning, around 10 am it is so peaceful and beautiful it feels almost unreal. This will be a long review :) Tips for coming here: it is best to come with your car. Rental or your own, but car only. I can’t believe people come here with bicycles. Even motorbikes are not good choice but ok. Why? You have a lot for pedaling. Also the road is crazy dusty and there is no shade on that road. I saw people riding bicycles with kids! I would just not recommend. I would not recommend even a taxi. Because on your way back, you will have to wait a lot, we saw around 50 people waiting for a taxi in one of those taxi stops. The price for a taxi for example from La Savina to Ses Illetes is 20 euros in one way. If you come by car: if you come around 9:30 am, you will have plenty of free parking spots, even in Es Ministre restaurant which is closest spot for the beach. If you come after 9:30 am, it is a gamble. Worst that can happen is that you need to park in Tanga restaurant. From there you have 30 minute walk to the Ses Illetes. It was brutal but manageable. Beach: on the side where Ses Illetes is, which is left side if you are looking at the map, there are 3 beaches, or 3 parts of Illetes. They are not all on the map, but if you walk you will see these places. First part is right next to the parking near Es Moli De Sal. If you start walking from here near the water, you can walk all the way up to the last part of Ses Illetes. I recommend visiting this first part of Illetes, and the last part. Water in the morning is a bit colder but after some time you get used to it and it feels warmer. Also, during the day, it gets warmer. If you stay on the last part of Illetes, the top one, there is a beach on the right side too, where you can also swim. Water here is warmer, there are always waves, but sometimes they are too big and strong so watch out. But i loved this part too, it was even better than left part of the beach. Winds: I didn’t quite understood wind websites. But if the wind is 9 kts then it is ok. Anything above that, 10, 13 or more - just go to some other beach like Vogamari-Migjorn, which is on another side of the island. Also, watch out for the seagulls, they are not afraid to come close to you and take food from your bag or even hand. I saw one seagull taking a food from one guys hands and the other one took cookies right out of the peoples bag! All in all, you HAVE to visit this beach, it is a must and don’t let anyone tell...

I had the privilege of visiting Platja de Ses Illetes in Formentera this August, and I am absolutely enchanted by the sheer beauty and serenity of this beach paradise. Allow me to share my delightful experience at this idyllic haven.

From the moment I stepped onto the powdery soft sands of Platja de Ses Illetes, I was greeted by a panoramic vista that could only be described as a masterpiece of nature. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, gently lapping against the shore, seemed to merge seamlessly with the azure skies. It was like stepping into a painting – a tranquil oasis that instantly whisked me away from the stresses of everyday life.

What sets Platja de Ses Illetes apart is its pristine, untouched ambiance. The beach stretches out graciously, offering ample space for both relaxation and exploration. The surrounding dunes and native vegetation create a sense of seclusion, allowing you to truly disconnect and revel in the beauty of the moment. I found myself lost in the symphony of the waves and the gentle rustling of the sea breeze – a symphony that speaks of pure tranquility.

For those seeking adventure, the calm, shallow waters near the shoreline are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The underwater world here is a vibrant tapestry of marine life, where colorful fish dart amongst the sea grass, creating a kaleidoscope of colors that dance beneath the surface. It's a world that demands to be explored.

The beach's amenities are thoughtfully designed to enhance the overall experience. From comfortable loungers and umbrellas to charming beachside cafes, everything is meticulously arranged to cater to your every need. I particularly enjoyed indulging in local delicacies while savoring the breathtaking views – a sensory journey that tantalized both my taste buds and my soul.

In conclusion, my visit to Platja de Ses Illetes was an experience of a lifetime. It's a haven where time seems to stand still, where worries fade away, and where the soul finds solace in nature's embrace. If you're looking for an escape that rejuvenates your spirit and leaves you in awe of the world's beauty, then Platja de Ses Illetes in Formentera is...

Stunning Beach with Crystal Clear Waters

Hello beach lovers,

Platja de Ses Illetes is an extraordinary beach on Formentera, offering some of the most stunning views in the Balearic Islands. The crystal-clear turquoise waters and fine white sand create an idyllic setting that’s perfect for relaxation and water activities.

One of the beach's unique features is its dual coastline, providing two stretches of sand where you can choose between the calmer waters on one side and slightly more active waves on the other. This makes it ideal for both swimming and snorkeling. The shallow waters extend quite far out, making it safe and enjoyable for families with children.

While the natural beauty is unparalleled, the beach can get quite crowded, especially during peak season. Arriving early is essential to secure a good spot. There are a few beach bars (chiringuitos) where you can grab a refreshing drink or a light snack, but prices can be on the higher side due to its popularity and remote location.

The only downside is the limited amenities and the fact that access to the beach often requires a bit of a walk or a bike ride from the nearest parking area, which might not be convenient for everyone.

Overall, Platja de Ses Illetes is a must-visit for its breathtaking beauty and serene environment. With a few improvements in facilities, it could easily earn a perfect rating.

Enjoy the sun...

📍😍Ses Illetes beach (or Playa de Ses Illetes) is located in the peninsula of Es Trucadors, in the northern part of Formentera island. It is on the west side of this trip of sand that we find the wonderful pink beach; this particular color is given by the union between the fine white grains of sand and the residues of coral dust that emerge from the sea. ❤️The name Playa de Ses Illetes means “beach of the small islands”: nearby we find Illa des Ponent, Illa de Tramuntana, Escull des Pou, Illa Rodona, Escull d ‘en Paia, Racò des Palo and the most famous Espalmador. 🤩Not far from Ses Illetes, precisely on the opposite side of the strip of sand, we find the beach Platja de Llevant; these two beaches are so close that they are often called “the twins” and have the great merit that, when the wind blows from the west and the sea will be rippled at Ses Illetes you will not have to do anything but go to Platja de Llevant; vice versa when the wind blows from the east and Platja de Llevant will be very windy you will go to relax in the quiet of Ses Illetes. Both beaches belong to an area called the Natural Park of Ses Salines. ✔️
