From the moment we walked in, it was evident that this establishment was more akin to a purgatory of pretentiousness than a place of genuine hospitality.
Let's start with the food. Our order included a vegetable paella priced at an eye-watering £100. Imagine our dismay when the paella arrived resembling a pile of overcooked rice with a sparse scattering of vegetables—certainly not worth the exorbitant price tag. (Which was not shown on the menu) It lacked flavour, texture, and any semblance of culinary finesse. We politely voiced our dissatisfaction to the server, indicating our reluctance to pay the full amount given the poor quality, expecting a reasonable response from the proprietor.
However, what followed was beyond belief. The owner, who I can only describe as the epitome of rudeness and arrogance, approached our table with disdain. Instead of addressing our concerns with professionalism, he launched into a tirade of insults, accusing us of attempting to evade payment. When we reiterated our disappointment and offered to pay a reduced amount as a gesture of goodwill, he flew into a fit of rage.
To our utter shock, he snatched my daughter's phone from her hands as she was attempting to record the confrontation, further demonstrating his utter lack of decorum and respect for customers. His behavior was nothing short of despicable—a true testament to his complete disregard for basic customer service etiquette.
As if that weren't enough, the owner proceeded to escalate the situation by calling the police, infront of other shocked customers alleging that we were attempting to dine and dash as opposed to a dispute about subpar food and unreasonable pricing.
In summary, my experience at was not only a culinary letdown but a deeply distressing encounter for me and my daughter, with a contemptuous owner who lacks the most basic understanding of how to treat paying customers. I would strongly advise against patronizing this establishment unless you have a masochistic penchant for terrible food and even worse service. This is a place where gastronomic nightmares come to life, all under the tyrannical reign of an individual who should never be in the...

If there’s one thing more disappointing than bad service, it’s bad service wrapped in a shiny illusion of exclusivity. Such was the case at this beachside restaurant that seems desperate to be seen as posh but ends up feeling more like a poorly disguised tourist trap.
Upon arrival, the setting held promise: a decent view of the sea, white furniture trying hard to look luxurious, and Moët & Chandon bottles placed strategically to scream “upscale.” But this was all surface-level — the experience quickly unraveled.
We asked for a drinks menu. The waiter, with an air of condescension that was hard to ignore, told us they didn’t have one. No explanation, no apology. Just an expectation that we should already know what we want, perhaps because truly “exclusive” guests are apparently clairvoyant.
We ordered one coffee and two iced teas. What we got: a cold, weak coffee and two cans of Lipton iced tea — cans, not even poured into a glass with some ice or lemon to dress it up. The bill? A jaw-dropping 29 euros.
Yes, 29 euros for one poor-quality coffee and two supermarket-grade drinks.
This beach house tries to pass itself off as elite, but beyond the branding props and overpriced menu (if only we’d seen it!), it’s just a glorified shack with delusions of grandeur. The waitstaff seemed more interested in maintaining their aloof facade than offering genuine hospitality.
Thankfully, the next beach house we visited was everything this place wasn’t: friendly service, solid drinks, beautiful ambiance, and – get this – reasonable prices.
Verdict: If you're after a real experience, skip the branding and head where substance still matters more than style. This one’s all...
Read moreI was extremely pleased by the high quality of food, friendly service and perfect location of Juan y Andrea. Surrounded by a powdery beach, it was truly an amazing experience.
The starters built a wonderful - and infinitely tasty - foundation for the meal. Small portions of seafood paella, grilled octopus, fresh cured ham and warm sourdough bread greeted customers like never before.
Following that, the seafood that was served was presented beautifully, with sauces and garnishes slathered on top - it was clear that the chefs at this restaurant took deep care and precision to perfect each dish.
It was also clear that the seafood was freshly caught - I enjoyed a lavish meal of lobster with lemon juice and butter-garlic sauce, and as the succulent flavor touched the tip of my tongue, I was far beyond ‘delighted.’
The salad was equally phenomenal - a perfect balance of sweet and savory, of mild and spicy and of flat and tangy.
The service was also extremely friendly - before cooking large pieces of seafood, for instance, waiters and waitresses would let customers hang in awe as they viewed the entire animal, uncooked and raw. It was just more proof that it was freshly caught - not that the taste said otherwise.
However, the food came super slowly, but does have an excuse: unsurprisingly, this restaurant was packed.
The atmosphere and location are super pleasant and I throughly enjoyed it: soft sand greeting your fry under the table, and beyond that a vast beach and ocean stretching miles beyond the island.
If you’re visiting Ibiza, visit this island and make sure to enjoy the great ambiance this place...
