Very interesting, the way how it was discovered and the view of its history from thousands of years ago, how people worked the extraction and lived from the mine. There is a mine replica that visitors can walk into, but the real mine is limited to a view from above (safety first of course). I don't give it 5 stars because of a couple issues: some of the interactive sets are damaged or need a fixup. Also at the mine there were signs to use helmets, but there were none. And helmets are needed if you're tall and don't want to hit or scratch your head on the low height (fake)...
Read moreThe mines are located in the city centre of Gava. You need one hour to walk through the exhibition and you get informations in englisch, spanish and catalan. The visitors center is a huge building but only a small part of the huge mining area. The center promisses you more than you can really see, because you only can walk in a copy of the ancient mines, the mineral variscit is painted on the rock. The staff is super friendly...
