TENER CUIDADO! Beware this beach's beauty, it looks perfect, long & sandy, very tempting to swim in. Which we were warned not to swim, saw other swimmers using the beach, gave it ago and nearly got into trouble, swept out by a riptide. Only two stars because there are no lifeguards and not enough warning signs, which meant that when we manged to get back to shore, we had to throw out the lifebouy, to someone who tried to save another swimmer, who themselves had...

Lovely quiet beach. Small dirt track to get there. Ample parking. Good little stone wind breakers. Lots of volcanic rock pools.

Care required. A lot winder than the South, so rougher tides. Sand around the rocks has a little water vortex so it can easily wash out under you and you can sink in. Pretty much quicksand. Wouldnt recommend swimming in the sea if you are not a confident swimmer but you can certainly dip your feet in or have a nice walk...
