Playa de San Marcos — Attraction in Icod de los Vinos

Very interesting place light- wise, not sure about the summer but in winter half of the beach is covered in shadows which makes for magical atmosphere. Beautiful little cove favoured by locals, very friendly. Free carpark, separate one for disabled and buggies with a slope all the way down Toilets, showers, lifeguard, restaurant and a small local shop for water, snacks and fruit and a chemist so everything you need. The swell and pull back of waves with the pebbles can be tricky, I definitely recommend wearing acqua shoes. It has nice showers after coming out from swimming and changing cabins and toilets.

There are few restaurants around it which mostly have good fresh food. The San Marcos Italian Resturant has a new beer in Tenerife called Efes. You should definitely try it, it’s very delicious.
