Restaurante Amarca — Restaurant in Icod de los Vinos

We visited this restaurant on a Friday late afternoon, the sun was shining and we were in the mood for a good bite to eat and a glass of wine. There were only a few people in the restaurant. We asked for a glass of wine and water to go with it. We also had a vegan pallea, which tasted very good. But what gets me out of my chair is human indifference. The maitre d' gives the impression that you are bothering him, and he even ordered us water, which he did not bring despite I was asking if the bill was in order. I don't think he didn't understand us, he just didn't want to. My opinion: you can't get better food+drinks+service in this location with a sunset sea view for that prices. Everything is tasty, delicious herewith simple - very similar to traditional cusine. Service is like you came home to loving family after living in the city:) Everyone is eager to help you ASAP and doing their best. This place is not luxury or VIP etc., it is a modern familly restaurant, and this makes it better. Most part of the the menu you can get for 4-10 euros per meal (see my photos of menu). Food is okay to good (they have days when we are not impressed). However it is by far the better restaurant in Playa San Marcos, having had food poisioning issues in others.
