>QUANTO ABBIAMO SPESO 1 SETTIMANA A TENERIFE< Ciao ragazzi!

As a mother visiting the Teide Cable Car with my 10-year-old child this December, the experience was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The panoramic views during the ascent were simply breathtaking, especially enhanced by the crystal-clear weather that offered an unobstructed vista of Tenerife’s stunning landscape. The volcanic craters, rugged terrain, and the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean created an unforgettable visual spectacle. During our ride, one of the most magical moments was witnessing the ethereal sight of clouds floating below us. It was a surreal and enchanting experience, adding an extra layer of wonder to the already magnificent scenery. It’s important to note that tickets for the cable car must be booked online in advance, as they cannot be purchased on-site. This pre-booking requirement ensures a smoother experience and guarantees availability for visitors. Despite the high number of visitors during our visit, the management of queues was impressive. We were pleasantly surprised that the queues, though present, were well-organized and efficiently managed. Following the requirement to arrive 20 minutes before our allotted time ensured a hassle-free boarding process, making the overall experience smoother. The cable car’s accessibility was praiseworthy, allowing my child and me to enjoy this remarkable adventure together. Safety measures were reassuring, and we felt secure throughout the journey. Our visit to the Teide Cable Car in December was an enriching experience that offered a unique perspective of Tenerife’s natural beauty. The exceptional weather accentuated the already stunning visuals from atop Teide Mountain, leaving an indelible impression of the volcanic majesty of this region. It’s an adventure that’s both educational and awe-inspiring, perfect for families seeking an unforgettable excursion in Tenerife.”

Can't add much to the already good reviews but I believe you should not buy tickets too far in advance. The cable car ride times can be affected at short notice (quite rightly) due to adverse conditions such as high winds (it's a windy mountain remember!). Please check the terms and conditions before booking to suit your arrangements. Some people on the day were complaining they couldn't change a previous booking, but I don't really see why as there's no ticket office anyway. We arrived without a ticket and booked online at the cable car station but I wouldn't recommend this approach either because the phone signal isn't great and lots of people are also trying to get online (you can't expect 5G up a volcano can you?!). Maybe book a day or two before after ensuring that the weather is good (no strong winds!) as its quite a drive up to the station. Take supplies and warm clothes - when we arrived the temperature was scorching (and there's little shade, but soon turned very windy)! As for the trip itself, the cable cars are every hour and are jam-packed. I understand people complain that's not not good value but that money obviously pays to maintain the experience and the staff who work at the top. The paths at the top are rough and slippy so wear decent shoes - you'll break something important if you idle up there in flip-flops! Lastly, the "maximum one-hour at the top" rule dictated by staff at the top seems odd when the longer walk takes at least that. Obviously they can't have too many people up there than there are cable car places back down, but it would have been much nicer to spend more time doing both walks and not feel under pressure. It's not a cheap day out, but it is interesting and the views are simply stunning.

Visiting Teide National Park in Tenerife and experiencing the Teide Cable Car was an unforgettable adventure. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and ensured that all safety measures were in place, making us feel secure throughout the trip. The ride itself was nothing short of spectacular. As the cable car ascended, we were treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the island, the Atlantic Ocean, and the surrounding volcanic landscape. The smooth, steady climb allowed us to fully appreciate the unique scenery, including the vibrant colors of the volcanic rock formations and the sparse vegetation that dots the terrain. The clear, sunny weather provided perfect visibility, allowing us to see as far as the neighboring islands. At the top, the viewing platforms offered even more incredible vistas. We felt like we were on top of the world, standing amidst the clouds with a bird's eye view of the entire island. The air was crisp and refreshing, adding to the exhilaration of being at such a high altitude. One of the highlights was the trail to the peak of Mount Teide, Spain's highest summit. Though challenging, the hike was manageable and absolutely worth it for the rewarding views at the top. It was an awe-inspiring experience to stand on the summit and take in the vast, rugged beauty of the landscape below. It is a must-do for anyone visiting Tenerife. It offers an unparalleled opportunity to witness the island's natural beauty from a unique perspective, making it an experience we will cherish forever. Highly recommended!

Lovely experience, would recommend driving to/ visiting the Teide. We were not sure to use the cable cars to go up first, but we ended up buying the tickets at the premises. There is one machine to buy the tickets from, there are toilets to use only with your entry ticket(clean). There is also an info point, the staff there are nice and helpful. You will peobably need them as there are multiple tickets to choose from. Once you go up with the cable cars, you have maximum 1 hour to walk around! There are three routes but if you have no permit to visit the top of the vulcan you are left with 2 options, either go right or left. One tour takes 25min and the other takes 50 min. We opted for the left one but only walked around for 20 min as was windy and our head hurt then we went back to the cable car station. While the weather that day was great, 27 celcius, up at the top it was only 9 so bring at least a jacket and sweater with you , plus comfy shoes! There is a toilet on the top of the cable car as well ! Everything was well organized and felt safe, would recommend. :) Tip : you can buy your tickets online as well to make sure you do not wait however if you go before noon you can easily buy your tickets there too and wait only some minutes to get inside, on Sunday around 11 the wait time for us was max. 5-10min no isses. Plenty of free parking but most probably will find a free spot towards the end only if get there later. 2-3 minutes walk up only from the parking lot to the cable cars . There is a gift shop and restaurant as well.

A fantastic cable car ride to the top of Spain's highest mountain Pico de Teide, well worth the €38 for a return trip (adult), tickets are easy to pre-purchase on the official Volcano Teide website (I would highly recommend you do so you are not disappointed as they are often sold out on the day). Turn up about 20/30 mins before your alloted boarding time and make sure you wear warm clothes as it can be very chilly at the top (we changed into ours in the car). Yesterday was 4° with bright sun & no wind but 18 years ago when we first went up it was a lot colder with a freezing wind and snow on the ground. All was well organised and once you have ascended you have an hour to walk about, the return cable cars arrive every 10 mins. The views are spectacular on a clear day and paths well signposted, just be aware the air is a lot thinner due to the high altitude so don't be surprised if your breathing is a bit more laboured than usual. To walk right up to the top of the actual peak on the designated path I understand a permit is required which I imagine you would also pre-purchase. Overall a great experience and when we descended we had a coffee in the cafe, €5 for 2 so reasonably priced, there are also toilets and a gift shop. We drove here in our hire car but there are coach trips and also local buses I believe. Such a great experience as is exploring the amazing volcanic national park, it was a thoroughly enjoyable brilliant day out :)
