Expected much more.

I visited La Roca on Aug 29, this is the final period of seasonal sales (ends on Sep 1) so based on my previous outlet experience in Italy, France and Germany I was expecting some 'final' reductions, however I was very disappointed regarding this as here I found just slightly reduced prices. In majority of the stores prices were more or less similar to outlet prices during non-sale periods in other outlets. Somewhere you can find claims like 'up to -60%' but just from the original 'high street price' so no WOW price at all. Sure thing my expectations were based on just my own experience in other outlets\countries, and these expectations were pretty high, but I can definitely say that the 'final sales' experience in Italy or France is MUCH better. However without the described expectations this outlet is a classic one. You can find here brands of various segments, from something basic to Gucci. I prefer the middle and so my main focus was on brands like Diesel, Replay, Hugo Boss, Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and similar. Hugo Boss store is large and offers both wide selection and nice staff, here you will find everything you need, despite the fact that some items are super overpriced (for example - i saw a jacket for 190 eur which is being offered for around 90 eur at USC online). Diesel offered worst selection ever and there was a worst staff I ever seen - literally nobody can help you with anything. Replay and Lacoste are very small and allow not that big selection. Armani got no AX and AJ subbrands so it's ok just if you are looking for more expensive EA\GA\AC while there were almost no discounts. Calvin Klein got most boring selection I ever seen, Tommy Hilfiger was better but still not that good as usually. Also Nike\Adidas\Puma stores are tiny and there were almost no top sneakers, so if you are looking for AirMax\ZX\RS - you will feel desperate. However New Balance offers a nice selection of sneakers with a price around 60-70 EUR. So if you know what you want and you are ok to buy this without super discounts - that's a nice place to buy something and enjoy some coffee. But only if you are located nearby and have a car, otherwise I can't say it's a good idea, will be better to shop online or somewhere in Barcelona.

2 final notes will be about the service. First - abosolutely WORST support. I've tried to contact them via Facebook and there was no response. Contacted via email - they responded just on the next day, it was a copy-paste reply and it was absolutely irrelevant to my question. So if you have any question just be prepared to the fact that they don't care at all. Also there are no brochures with the village map, and it's super complicated to find this map online (I failed to find it). Second - this is a place for visitors with cars only, it's near impossible to get here by public transport without the headache. Nobody can tell you if the bus to BCN is available today, and if Sagales Shopping Express is the same as La Roca Coach or no. Was waiting for the first one at the bus stop, it didn't arrive at time and finally I had to go back with 4(!) transfers again. In order to get here and back I had 2 train and 6 bus rides. If you think that's fine - you can easily 'enjoy' this experience on your own :)

Final conclusion - worth a visit only if you need something concrete, you are located nearby and you have a car. Otherwise better to shop somewhere else. General outlet experience compared to McArthur Glen and other similar outlets is not yet good. La Roca Village is much closer to el Cort Ingles experience, but if yo uwould like to get some pain...

Major robbery in broad daylight at La Roca Village because of poor security!

Was there earlier this week, parked within La Roca Village compound near one of the entrance to the mall, car window was smashed and all belongings taken from car.

Was traveling to Barcelona as part of our Spanish holiday with my father aged 70 and child aged 7. Always practicing caution with safety as priority. Never thought such a huge daylight robbery could happen at a major tourist destination like La Roca Village. Lost all our luggages, which contains our daily necessities, including my father’s critical medication, which could be fatal if not consumed timely.

Worse of all is La Roca Village’s management seemed helpful and promised all sorts of aids but did nothing in the end that helped, other than vacuuming up the broken glass and covering up the broken window.

Had to spend almost the entire day at a public hospital to obtain a prescription to procure replacement medication for my father. Getting basic necessity was almost impossible due to Spain Constitution Day public holiday when almost everything is closed. Lost my glasses, together with all our luggages, which I have yet able to replace because there is no optical shops in Spain that I could make glasses within a day.

La Roca Village did offer the next day a token gift card. It is of a value far from enough to compensate for the broken car window. Other than being kept busy with trying to purchase essentials in Barcelona, we are definitely too frightened by the experience to head back to La Roca Village again to use any gift card.

La Roca Village also claimed that they do not have insurance to cover such “unfortunate situations”.

Meanwhile, my family is trying hard to get over a ruined Spanish holiday after a visit to La Roca Village. Every passing day in Spain, we are not only experiencing the inconvenience of losing all our luggages due to the negligent security at La Roca Village, we become paranoid of the potential dangers that seemed to...

It used to be a great shopping center, few years back.

The quality of materials dropped along with new product lines and their outlet bargains seem everytime less and less appealing, nearing often the retail values and being offered new collections.

There are more and more of what I called “not-so-known” brands or “startup” designer stores, which will open for a few months and disappear out of the blue.

It is pointless to visit stores like Emporio Armani or highly prestigious stores, without being judged upon, where they will only show you their super secret (and only worth collections, design-wise) after you have spent a bunch, or appeal to be a relevant indecisive individual.

I’m changing now my review from 5 to 2 stars, as this shopping centre has become a one year timer for me recently, for clothes which I’m going to use at work.

The casual shopping for me has ended here, as I’m finding really top design and quality brands which are not located in La Roca.

I’ve been raising my La Roca Membership Level regularly over the past years, and the most I got from it was a few average discounts on Ralph Lauren, but the rest of brands will run their own sales, or not become part of this plan, or simply not have a substantial difference when buying their items directly from them or in other stores.

The effort it takes reaching there, for example from Barcelona, is not paying off, unless you have an average amount of grands to spend, or you want to have a nice walk through the crowd.

On Saturdays it’s so crowded that the stream of people will tune down any mood for shopping exciting products.

Summarizing this review, and being myself an expert in other fields, the cloth & design industry is now becoming a “spares pickup shopping” rather than a sure shot mall where you will fulfill all your dreams.

I recommend to look the styles you like and some designers, and try to cherry-pick them here and there.

The bulk excellence has meet...
