A beautiful church on the plaza Espana. Its is very well maintained inside and out and free entry. The wooden ceiling is lovely and painted scenes above the altar are stunning. The main altar looks impressive in red and gold. The stained glass windows and chandelier are really nice too. The inside is dimmed to protect the artefacts. The outside looks good in white with brick tower. Well worth a look so pop in if its open.

Beautiful old church which is at the centre of Buenavista del Norte. It was partly rebuilt after a fire in 1996 and now looks very good, even though I didn't see it before. Takes centre stage in La Plaza de los Remedios, but was unfortunately closed when we were there.

La iglesia está dedicada a la Virgen de los Remedios, patrona del municipio y representada por una valiosa imagen flamenca del siglo XVI. La iglesia fue edificada originalmente en el siglo XVI en la ladera sur del barranco de las Angustias, a instancias de los primeros pobladores castellanos de la isla. En 1517, tiene lugar la segunda fundación de la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, en su actual emplazamiento.

Beeindruckendes Gebäude im Zentrum von Los Llanos. Die Kirche strahlt im Inneren eine enorme Ruhe und im Sommer eine angenehme Kühle aus.

Una parroquia típica, que tiene una amplia plaza. Esta en la zona comercial y peatonal del pueblo. Recomendable visitar.

Description
The Virgin of Los Remedios or Our Lady of Los Remedios is a title of the Virgin Mary developed by the Trinitarian Order, founded in the late 12th century. The devotion became tied to the Reconquista of Spain, then still at its height. In the following century it spread to other parts of Europe.
