Los Argentinos is one of the best restaurants I have been to in La Palma. Period. The menu list is not long and focuses primarily on cuts if meat, which should be apparent from the name. The meat is served very rare, with a heated stone slab on which to finish the meat to your liking. It's such an ingenious concept. The meat is served with a large spoonful of mashed potatoes which has a great texture, and is perfectly buttery and salted. We didn't know this and also ordered fries, which were also delicious. Lastly, the desserts were incredible. The house dessert is a delicate layering of crunchy merengue, whipped cream, sweet, crunchy pastry and delicious Dulce de leche drizzle. Very sweet, but incredibly tasty. The crepes are also quite good, with a caramelized sugar coating and stuffed with Dulce de leche. It was the perfect end to an amazing meal. Also, order an empanada. It's not the traditional Argentinian empanada, but has dates diced into the meat and it tastes phenomenal. The service was prompt, friendly, attentive and polite and the classy setting (traditional historical house) makes for an incredible experience. Best dinner in La...
Read moreOn a one way street with no parking except down hill, the street before you would have turn left to get to the entrance. It is walkable from the pedestrian zone. They have indoor and garden seating. We had the Queso Asado (3 sections of cheese grilled w/ 3 different flavored toppings) with a roll and 2 Croqueta Argentina (beef filled) as appetizers. I had the larger serving (enough for 2) of El Churrasco (slices of medium rare steak which you cook to your liking on a table top grill plate) and Papas Arrugadas (small whole potatoes w salt crust.) My wife had Ravioli. For desert we had Polvito Canario (translates as Canarian Powder, but it's not powdery.) Try it you'll love it. Very rich. See photo. Everything was delicious. Topped it all off with a cappuchino and Cortado. The bill came to 71,70 Euro. And we got free shot of somthing Canarian close to Baillys. P.S. If the fire under your grill goes out, just ask for another. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly. Our waiter spoke english. The menu was in english but needs editing. Read moreThis was one of the best meals I’ve EVER had. We started with croquettes and the pardón peppers. Both were incredibly flavorful. However, we were just getting started and we didn’t know what we were in for. Next came the Churrasco meat which you grill yourself. As two people who don’t eat much steak, we both agreed rhat we could eat this particular steak every day of our lives. Mid steak, we decided to add some empanadas to our order. This was the best decision we made. We ended up ordering more because they blew us away. Since our dinner was composed of only 10/10 dishes, we knew we had to add dessert. After viewing the menu, we decided on the cheesecake, which had a blueberry topping, and the local dessert, polvito canario. Again, both dishes blew us out of the water. Not only was the food OUT OF THIS WORLD but the staff was incredibly kind and amazing. I also forgot to mention that we had some incredible wine to top it all off. This is...
