🌟 One of the Most Meaningful Spiritual Experiences of My Life 🌟 Although Google Maps keeps saying I haven’t been here — let me set the record straight: I was blessed to attend the Madrid Spain Temple Open House and Dedication back in 1999, and it was truly unforgettable. I made the trip down from France, and even though it was a quick visit, the memories and spiritual impressions from that experience have stayed with me for decades. The temple itself is stunning — a beautiful blend of reverence, light, and architectural grace. I’ll never forget the beautiful white stone, the peaceful gardens, and the deep sense of holiness I felt just walking through its doors. The dedication session I attended was presided over by President Thomas S. Monson, which was an incredible spiritual privilege. To be in the room with him and hear the dedicatory prayer firsthand was something I will always cherish — it’s etched into my spiritual memory forever. Visiting the temple helped me feel more connected not only to the people of Spain, but also to the worldwide church. It reminded me that no matter where you are in the world, the Lord’s house truly is a house of peace, power, and inspiration. I’ve been to many temples since then, but this one holds a special place in my heart because of the timing, the people, and the sacred experience I had there. I highly recommend a visit — whether you’re a Latter-day Saint or someone simply curious about the Church, the Madrid Temple is a place of incredible peace and beauty. 💙

One thing to understand is that it is a sacred building to members of the faith. If you are not an active member then you will not be allowed into the building. That said, it's a very beautiful building and the grounds are also very lovely. They really don't make many modern buildings like this any more. If you're looking for a quiet place of contemplation then this would serve you well. For people looking to use the building, there is a clothing rental, there is a small guest house you can stay at while attending the temple, and the website wasn't exactly helpful. Best bet is to call the temple and double check it's schedule and offerings.

Such a beautiful building. The temple grounds are very well kept throughout the year. It is a great place of peace inside and out. If you haven’t had a chance to see this LDS temple you need see it in person. Can’t wait to go back and see it again.

I was here 2009, I was living in the apartment, in this area since it is near the Temple ground in Temple de Pavones. I love the Temple in Pavones , it's so special! It's so Holy! I love the people I met here , the LDS people here are so kind and lovely, the activities we had in the church here in this area, helped me so much to overcome my loneliness, to overcome my sorrows, being away from my Family back home in the Philippines...My ultimate dream is to go back in Spain and live there in the rest of my life in my retirement. I HOPE GOD...
