We were looking for day tours from Madrid, and decided on Toledo. While trying to decide what type of tour to do, we came across Wine Tours from Madrid's tour to Toledo and La Mancha. I can tell you that we 100% chose correctly. Raul, the owner, was our guide and driver for the day. He treated us like friends as he took us to authentic places and made sure we knew the stories and history of the places we were visiting. All of the stops were fantastic. He had a local guide to lead us through the historical sites in Toledo, including the Jewish Quarter and the Cathedral. She was absolutely wonderful as well. She even kept the attention of our two teenagers that were traveling with us, which is not always an easy feat. The visit to the windmills was beautiful. Lunch was absolutely delicious and extraordinarily generous with portion sizes... we only had a snack for dinner we were still so full. And I will admit that we are complete food snobs who often find lunches on tours to be completely inedible, so this is high praise. The winery tour was fun and the wine tasting was really good. We came home with two bottles of wine and some bonus amazing olive oil that came from the olives on their property. While on our tour, we did join up with another tour from Wine Tours from Madrid with two women and another of Raul's guides. Having had the opportunity to interact with the other guide as well, I can honestly say we also would have had a great day with him as well, which tells me that Raul is not only a great guide himself, he also knows how to hire other great guides. We are avid travelers and we've been on a lot of tours in a lot of cities and countries around the world, and this tour and tour guide easily rate among the top 5 tours we've ever taken. In fact, we intend to try out some of his other tours the next time we make it back to Madrid, and we will certainly recommend them to any of our friends that travel to Spain! Thanks, Raul, for a fantastic day. We can't wait to do it...

This is by far the best wine tour I have taken. We had the honor of having Raul (the owner) give us the tour; he is very professional and knowledgeable when it comes to wines. I rate him 10/10 on his knowledge of the wines , region and history. 10/10 on his ability to lead the tour in both Spanish and English. Duration of the tour 10/10 ; 9 hours including 2 hours to go and 2 hours to return to Madrid. The length was just right, it gives you time to go out afterwards. 10/10 price per value of the information and amount of wine (14 wines) you get to taste and each with their own unique history. For all wine lovers this is a must tour! Thanks Raul, it was an...

This was one of the best experiences of our trip to Spain! Raul is an incredible guide, so knowledgeable about wine and the region, and he made the entire day easy, fun, and memorable. We visited three amazing wineries in Ribera del Duero: Bela, where we started with a great tasting in a beautiful modern setting; Territorio Luthier, a unique project creating truly special wines; and Bodegas Nabal, where we enjoyed more wine along with a fantastic lunch of tapas and traditional lechazo asado. Every stop felt personal and authentic, and the wines were outstanding. If you’re in Madrid and love wine, don’t...

While holidaying in Madrid recently we took a Day Tour of Toledo and local wineries with Wine Tours of Madrid. Raul our guide and driver treated us like old friends and took us to some amazing authentic places. A highlight was a visit to the Bodega JesĂşs Diaz e Hijos (winery) and lunch at a wonderful authentic Spanish family run restaurant where we enjoyed local specialties and wine. We also visited the windmills of La Mancha and the beauty of Toledo. A great way to experience the best of Spain in one day. Highly recommended.
