What a lovely golf course. Beautiful greens. My wife and I are in our sixties and managed the walk (just) and the freebie buggy ride from the 13th to 14th much appreciated. We went round on Tuesday. But the 4th tee will stay in my mind for ever as an insane challenge and one that all should experience. This long par 5 stretches before you but at a level of maybe 100 metres below the tee … A course that rewards accuracy rather than length perhaps but is forgiving in many areas. What lovely staff from the receptionist to the helpful caddie to manager. English understood throughout - not always the case in this area - and a lovely day was had. Read moreI have played this course quite a few times now and I think Kirk and the rest of the staff are doing an amazing job and also the golf shop staff and booking team are so friendly. The bunkers are 100% better and the greens are very true. The views from the course are spectacular with a sea view and also country views, the fourth hole is my favourite. Probably some big hitters would struggle because the fairways are narrow but in golf it’s not all about the driver and hitting long balls, it’s about staying on the fairway and trying to reach the greens in two if you can. Read moreProbably in the worst condition I've experienced, Club Marina is certainly overcharging for a round at this time. They have clearly suffered so sort of disease with a few of the greens, in particular the 15th. There are many bare patches on fairways yet also some excessively lush and much too long grassy areas. Clearly the course needs time to recover from whatever has blighted it, but the club should at least warn customers and charge...
