We have loved our holiday here , we arrived on a Saturday to a busy hotel they have a very friendly reception and check In was a breeze , after we unpacked we headed down for dinner to which I can only describe as a cattle market. Dinner is 8pm until 10pm (bit later than usual for us brits but worked well in the end) it was a free for all of sorts around the buffet tables the noise was that of a swimming pool in the middle of a kids holiday , this was not entirely as unpleasant as it sounds the food was good and choice a plenty which suited our fussy family of 6 adults. The following day we woke to a quiet hotel the weekend guests have gone and the hotel is half the capacity of the day before breakfast is a lot quieter and the buffet tables that are usually open has been halved to 1 , bacon, eggs, beans ,toast, cereal, jams, pastries , eggs fried in front of you flipped if you wish and the coffee and juices is also readily available to self serve as much as you like. It is pregnancy friendly which I was pleased about the decaff coffee was a win for me. Dinner on the other hand is good but not a lot of choice for myself there are fresh rolls, meat and fish and a wonderful salad bar , as we said there was always something for everyone. The pudding was plentiful and a good choice too. There is two sections of the usual cattle market the tables all quite close together or there is a section cordoned off and a room for vip tables of 6 or more you just have to ask to reserve these. The hotel is very golf and cycling orientated which did not fuss us and the usual fight for a sunbed was non exsistent all week which was marvelous this was until Saturday came around again and the there was a full hotel yet again. Noise levels increase during the meal times and the beds are gone. There is a beach cafe that is owned by the hotel accross the street from the rear exit however we went once and never returned , awful service and even worse food, a big thumbs down from is. Mojacar market is on a Wednesday morning but be aware it is a steep hill and all hills and steps after that the yellow bus just outside the rear exit of the hotel is €1.20 one way , Garrucha is also €1.20 one way the blue bus on the opposite side (on the hour buses and a few at half the hour) garrucha Market is on Friday morning , this was a large market and the flatter one to go to with lots to buy from fruit and veg to wool and clothes. There is not a lot to do outside of the hotel when I say not a lot I mean nothing except gold and tennis , a shirt bus ride will take you to some souvenir shops on the way to hotel indalo along from mojacar , one place we definitely recommend going to is dolce vita, excellent food , amazing entertainment (different each night ) and service is thoroughly good , great night out. We had a lovely holiday but not a memorable one and we will not be returning unless we want a week of doing nothing. The weather was great and we can't complain on that front. We hope this helps your...
Read more"We had the pleasure of returning to this warm and family-friendly establishment for the second time. The staff, always wearing welcoming smiles, made our stay memorable. Our room number 4000, treated us to breathtaking views of the sea and the inviting pool below. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, a true testament to their dedication.||The food and beverage team deserves a solid 5-star rating. Their tireless efforts ensured a constant supply of freshly cooked delights. For those who prefer to venture out, the local bus conveniently stops just outside the hotel, providing easy access to the charming pueblo village. Across the road, two enticing chiringuitos beckon, their tempting aromas guiding the way.||For travelers with their own vehicle, there's a wealth of small towns and villages waiting to be explored. Families will especially appreciate the excellent kids' club facilities. It's worth noting that while the drinks were delightful, they could add up over time. It might be worthwhile for the hotel group to consider offering water and soft drinks at a more affordable rate or introducing a drinks card system, akin to what's seen on cruises.||Outside the hotel, a quaint sports cafe served up ice-cold pints of Mahou lager, a delightful touch. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel. Highly...
