Exceptional panaromic view of Oviedo, Impressive statue at such a height it literally dwarfs you, though ride to the point is tricky but it's safe to drive plus there is ample parking spaces, on the way to the top there two little iglesias which could be visited however it's tricky to park in those spots, while visiting Sagrado Corazón in winter make sure to be prepared with scarfs, gloves and good layers to be able to withstand the bone chilling winds. Definitely worth a visiting.

worth a visit, at least once: history goes that the artist who made this was bankrupted 3 times in the process of making this sculpture and in the end donated the work and its site (the mountain top) to the city of oviedo. the hike up was more mesmerising and offered a unique full view of oviedo but it is not for the faint hearted - as a city girl and my first hike, it took me 3hrs... thankfully i was with my partner and his local family.

Nice view to look down Oviedo town. I started from Oviedo train statin. It takes about 2 hours to go up & 1 & half hours to come down to Oviedo train station. There is nice picnic area just before the monument. It doesn’t look like difficult train from beginning but last 20mints was intense hiking. I need to share the road with car. Not enough space for walk. Most of cars are driving slow. But still need to aware of it.

Fantástica experiencia, muy recomendable por las vistas espectaculares, la facilidad para llegar, y la estatua en sí (seas creyente o no), aunque no recomendable si hace mal tiempo y no hay baños públicos. Estatua de Cristo de gran tamaño situada arriba del monte Naranco, con acceso directo en coche hasta allí, o desde el área recreativa con parking público gratuito que está a 500 metros a través de un camino. Se puede a cualquier hora ; por la noche está iluminado. Lo mejor: -Vistas incomparables hacia Gijón o hacia Oviedo. -La factura, tamaño y majestuosidad de la estatua. -Hay un pequeño mirador con bancos para disfrutar de las vistas hacia Oviedo. -Inmejorable acceso directo (hasta los pies de la estatua) con (pocos) aparcamientos. También desde el área recreativa que hay a 500 metros y que tiene parking público y del que sale un camino hasta la estatua. -Abierto 24 horas para visitar. -Hay unas trincheras de la Guerra Civil al lado con carteles explicativos. -Como curiosidad hay un marcador geodésico al lado de la estatua. -De noche iluminada es espectacular de cerca y desde la distancia. Lo peor: -No hay fuentes. -No hay baños públicos. -Si hay niebla o mal tiempo no se ve nada y pega bastante viento y hace bastante frío.

Iconic landmark of Oviedo, a must visit to see the wonderful views of the city. You can walk up all the way or drive. There is also the option to take the bus till the monuments and walk from there through a scenic path which you can see using the satellite View on maps. It is windy up there! Also recommend viewing the city at night from this place. Drive up.

The monument is located on the top of the hill. From this place you may see the city from up. In the place there is park with stone tables to sit to eat in the middle of the nature and amazing views. Great to bring your food with you and bring your family to spend time there.
