Cala Saladeta — Attraction in Sant Antoni de Portmany

Cala Saladeta is located on the northern part of Ibiza, near the town of San Antoni de Portmany. It's a protected cove with stunningly clear and transparent waters. To reach it by car, you can park in a free parking area. From there, you have the option of taking either a staircase or a road that leads approximately 200 meters to Cala Salada, and then with a short walk, you'll arrive at the beautiful Cala Saladeta.

Although it's a relatively small cove and tends to get crowded, making it a bit challenging to find a spot for your towel and umbrella, the pristine sandy beach and crystal-clear water make it worth the visit. There's just one lifeguard, so it's advisable to bring your own water and provisions, as there's only a restaurant bar at Cala Salada.

The water is truly marvelous and transparent, providing a perfect setting for a refreshing swim. The added benefit of free parking makes it a convenient choice for those traveling by car. While the path to reach the cove might be a bit challenging, the overall experience is definitely worthwhile. However, if you're traveling with a small baby, it might not be the ideal destination due to the nature of the path. Es la mejor (y más famosa) cala de Ibiza, un pequeño rincón del paraíso de aguas turquesas. Aquí, la naturaleza alcanza su máximo esplendor pues todo lo que la rodea parece sacado de un cuento de hadas. Y es que Cala Saladeta lo tiene absolutamente todo: un enclave 100% natural y salvaje; unas aguas cristalinas de película; un bonito sendero panorámico por el que se llega a la cala; la paz y tranquilidad que reinan en este lugar y por último, esa magia que desprenden algunos lugares...pues Cala Saladeta la tiene y se nota.

Hacer snorkel aquí debería ser obligatorio para así poder contemplar la belleza del lugar desde la mejor perspectiva posible, sumergido en sus transparentes aguas. Si bien es cierto que desde un mirador del sendero se obtiene una panorámica espectacular e inigualable, bucear bajo estas aguas te transporta a otra dimensión, la de haber descubierto la verdadera magia de Cala Saladeta. Además, la flora y fauna marina existente y la zona de rocas submarinas que hay en un lateral de la cala hacen que la práctica de snorkel sea una delicia para todos aquellos exploradores marinos. Por todo ello, hacer snorkel en Cala Saladeta ha sido una de las experiencias más bonitas y emocionantes del viaje.

Para llegar a Cala Saladeta hay que madrugar. Y con madrugar me refiero a estar allí a eso de las 9h o 9.30h de la mañana como máximo. Llegar más tarde es jugársela a no encontrar parking, tener que dar la vuelta y dejar el coche en San Antonio y coger el bus que lleva a la cala (cuando el parking se llena, cosa que suele suceder a eso de las 10h de la mañana o antes, lo cierran y no se permite la entrada de más coches y es imposible ir a pie). Así que si tienes decidido pasar el día en Cala Saladeta, no te la juegues y madruga, te compensará y mucho una vez estés allí. Y es que la desmesurada aunque justificada fama junto con su reducido tamaño, hace que cada día vayan muchos turistas y que se llene muy pronto. Una vez dejado el coche en el parking, se llega a pie a Cala Salada (esta no es la cala a la que queremos ir). Pues bien, desde la parte lateral derecha de esta cala sale un sendero -señalizado- hacia Cala Saladeta (5 min a pie). Nada más empezar, el sendero se desdobla en dos; uno por arriba, sin dificultad y con unas vistas increíbles; y otro por abajo, por las rocas y a pie de playa con algunos puntos realmente complicados. Yo he hecho ambos senderos y aconsejo única y exclusivamente el sendero que va por arriba (el sendero de abajo tiene su encanto pero si no estás ágil, se puede complicar la cosa).
