If you've come to this review page about the albergue, it is currently closed in May 2023 and has been closed since the start of the pandemic, according to a local man who saw us waiting for the ablergue to open at 12:00. I went to the associated hotel and the nun who greeted me also said it was closed.

Las monjas cistercienses del Real Monasterio de Ábia de las torres (Palencia) fueron trasladadas a esta ciudad en el año 1610, por decisión del Obispo de Calahorra y La Calzada, Pedro Manso de Zúñiga, quien fundó este monasterio de Nuestras Señora de la Anunciación.
La Iglesia es un edificio clasicista, obra de Matías de Astiazo. En ella están enterrados, en un sepulcro de alabastro, tres obispos. El fundador y sus dos sobrinos. El retablo mayor es barroco de mediados del siglo XVIII. El claustro de estilo cisterciense es del siglo XVII.
