We got to the town and called to get directions. Francisca explained how to get there and where to park. We asked for the guided tour and it was well worth the time and modest price. Francisca gave us the tour herself, in Spanish, and it was clear that her passion and deep knowledge of the history and culture of the town and Castle were stellar and we enjoyed learning more about this emblematic structure and the surrounding area. We walked up the steep hill (the only way in!) to the castle entrance about one hour before closing time, and were met by Francisca, the delightful castle welcomer and ticket taker. Castillo reformado de estilo islámico. El entorno ya de por si es espectacular encaramado en la cima de una montaña a sus pies el pueblo de Segura de la Sierra uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España. Puedes visitar el castillo por dentro tanto por la mañana como por la tarde. Su apertura es a las 10:30 y el precio por persona es de 4'5€ además de otros precios tanto el grupal como el que viene con vista guiada. De fácil acceso tienes la opción de acceder a el por cuesta o por 88 escaleras . Dentro tienes audiovisuales explicativos del castillo y de la historia que le alberga, si no puedes visitarlo con vista guiada no os preocupéis que están bastante bien y tienes la posibilidad de verlo cómodamente sentado. En la torre más alta también se puede ver el paisaje tan bonito de la sierra del Segura. Dentro del Castillo podréis ver los baños turcos, capilla y vestuario de los caballeros de la orden de Santiago. Además podéis visitar su tienda y dentro tenéis aseos.
