Beautiful beach, the water is clear, clean and, when we went, a very pleasant temperature. It was busy but there is plenty of space. There is no shade here so if you plan on staying for a while, take a robust parasol. It was quite busy in the parking area, with not much room to maneuver so be careful. The dirt track starts straight off the roundabout and yesterday the was a pot hole right where the road ended that was difficult to see so I would suggest dropping your speed exiting the roundabout. However the rest of the dirt track was flat and in good order. Be ready with your card to pay €3 entrance fee, although when we left at 6pm cars seemed to be entering freely. It is a great place to see the sunset so we are going back...

The beach is nice, sandy and quiet. The sea is a little bit rough. It has fantastic views but there are no facilities at all so you will need plenty of water and food and definitely something to protect you from the sun. Difficult to access if you are walking from the hotels. If you go by taxi, keep in mind that taxis will leave you at Sandos Papagayo and you have to walk from there. If you have any mobility or respiratory problems, it will be easier to go to playa...

Wide and natural beach. The dusty access scenery road is very attractive and fits the national park road conditions. Clear water is only near the rocks where only few people are brave enough to stay. 3 € one day access to the national park was a nice surprise so when you go out for a lunch, you can come back again without extra charge. We have been on playa de papaya in the morning and after the lunch we got back to...

Beautiful beach, but also very windy (at least on the day that we were there, but I think it'd be similar every day). Come prepared to either get covered in sand, or bring lots of windbreaks - and even then...! Incredibly clear, gorgeous water though. You can avoid paying the 3 Euros by parking on the road to the west of the beach and walking across, there's a path and it only takes around 10 minutes or so.
