Beautiful beach, the water is clear, clean and, when we went, a very pleasant temperature. It was busy but there is plenty of space. There is no shade here so if you plan on staying for a while, take a robust parasol. It was quite busy in the parking area, with not much room to maneuver so be careful. The dirt track starts straight off the roundabout and yesterday the was a pot hole right where the road ended that was difficult to see so I would suggest dropping your speed exiting the roundabout. However the rest of the dirt track was flat and in good order. Be ready with your card to pay €3 entrance fee, although when we left at 6pm cars seemed to be entering freely. It has fantastic views but there are no facilities at all so you will need plenty of water and food and definitely something to protect you from the sun. Difficult to access if you are walking from the hotels. If you go by taxi, keep in mind that taxis will leave you at Sandos Papagayo and you have to walk from there.
