Palmentuin, an oasis in Paramaribo, Suriname, captivates with its lush greenery and serene ambiance. The majestic palm trees provide a refreshing escape from the urban bustle. Strolling through this botanical haven, you encounter a diverse array of tropical plants and vibrant flowers. The well-maintained pathways invite leisurely walks, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and contemplation. Palmentuin's historical significance adds depth to its beauty, as it stands as a testament to the city's rich past. Whether enjoying a peaceful moment or immersing yourself in the park's history, Palmentuin is a delightful retreat, inviting both locals and visitors to savor nature's embrace in the heart of Paramaribo.

Was quite a beautiful garden. There were some stores on a walkway at the entrance.$20 Suriname to use the bathroom.A park was inside the garden with a few families there.Down side poorly maintained, grass not cut.Trash in piles waiting to be picked up.Swing sets in dire need of painting.Regardless we enjoyed our visit.

Iconic city park in central Paramaribo. It's a fun place to stroll around for 15-20 minutes enjoying the shade provided from the massive palm trees.
