Carlstens Fästning — Attraction in Kungälvs kommun

The individuals that are responsible for running this establishment are absolute gems. We stayed in the fortress on Syttende Mai. There were few of us staying in the B&B, and we had the entirety of the fortress to ourselves to explore which was absolutely enthralling. There are an abundance of rooms available for board at this establishment and they are very well taken care of and clean. The breakfast component of this stay was also really exceptional with a very kind individual working the breakfast tavern. We were absolutely blown away by the totality of our experience at Carlstens, and for such a reasonable price. If you are looking for something fun to do with your family, Loved one, or friends, you cannot go wrong with a night in the fortress. To the wonderful caretaker, the Commandant & wife, thank you so very much for your hospitality. By the way, Johann's Tavern just down the hill is the place to go to dine. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to, and is filled with magic and beauty. I cannot wait to return to...

Canadian here...Sadly we weren't able to visit the castle. It was difficult to find a parking spot for our rental car in the town. We thought we finally found a place in the lot on the left side of the road..some spots had reserved sign but many didn't so we found a spot but then a woman in the car next to us..a local I guess..said can't park anywhere here..guess all spots reserved for boaters from the harbour nearby but some spots not marked reserved. We finally found a spot across the street...it was hot..we couldn't download the app to park and pay...guess our sim card didn't like the app so ? Sadly we left the town...didn't spend any money...would have loved to have lunch and shop in the town. By the way a helpful local tried to park for us with his app but it didn't work as he already had a car parked and only one car on the...
