Visited the area for a short walk, a picnic and a dip in the water last week with a group of five. According to the aletscharena website the walk around the lake is wheelchair accessible but in reality the path is very narrow and uneven in places so would not be very suitable for wheelchair users. A small jetty and several benches around the lake provide plenty of seating and areas to access the water. Small paddle boats and paddle boards can be rented from a hut beside the lake. There are fire pits including grills available with seating for picnics as well as a small cafe next to the lake. A cable car is within close range of the lake for those who would rather not walk down the mountain. The surrounding area offers great views of the mountains on a good day.
