Schloss Burgdorf — Attraction in Burgdorf

This is a well curated museum for both children and adults. I’m glad the Swiss Rail pass was accepted here. In addition I climbed both towers to get a real feeling of how it might have been in the past. There is a wonderful slide show of old digitized photos which was a treat to see. I was impressed with many of the collected artifacts and their corresponding documentation. There is a nice gift store at the entrance which is blended with a lounge area….very convenient and not over imposing environment. And the restaurant that overlooks one side of the village was superb. I had a few drinks not yet lunch and the staff was very friendly. The museum staff were also friendly and helpful. Burgdorf is a short train ride from Bern and an easy half day trip….or you can make it a day trip….the town is pleasant to...

Ein unvergessliches Wochenende im Schloss Burgdorf

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, mit meinen Freundinnen eine Nacht im Schloss Burgdorf zu verbringen, und es war einfach unglaublich schön! Schon beim Betreten der Eingangshalle wurden wir von einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre empfangen, die sich durch das gesamte Schloss zog – vom stilvollen Restaurant bis hin zu den liebevoll gestalteten Zimmern. Die architektonische Ausarbeitung des Schlosses ist wirklich beeindruckend und verleiht dem Aufenthalt einen ganz besonderen Charme.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das freundliche Personal, das uns während unseres Aufenthalts stets mit einem Lächeln begegnete. Als Veganerin mit Nahrungsmittelunverträglichkeiten war ich positiv überrascht, dass es am Morgenbuffet eine Vielzahl an Optionen für mich gab. Es ist nicht selbstverständlich, dass auf spezielle Ernährungsbedürfnisse so gut eingegangen wird, und dafür bin ich sehr dankbar.

Ich kann das Schloss Burgdorf nur wärmstens empfehlen, wenn man auf der Suche nach einem perfekten Wochenend-Getaway in der Nähe ist. Die Kombination aus historischer Eleganz, herzlichem Service und kulinarischer Vielfalt macht diesen Ort zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis. Wir kommen...

A beautifully restored castle dating from around 1200. A steep (very) path leads up to a courtyard, which, as so typical in Switzerland, has a.nice cafe.
