LOVED IT! Went straight up to Mount Titlis, first in a cable car and then we changed to a 360° Rotair, the world's first rotating Cable Car (Make sure you stand nearer to the glass)
We then walked in the freezing Glacier Caves. Make sure you carry your gloves for this one cause it's COLD. Next, we walked on the Cliff Walk which was phenomenal!
[P.S: Don't forget to click a family photo on it! There's a little box with a button at the end of the bridge that will take one for you. A small photo will cost 12CHF and a big one will cost 19CHF. We took a small one and it's beautiful.]
We then took an Ice Flyer to the Snow Park. You'll have to take a separate ticket for this. Costs 12CHF for adults and 6CHF for kids.
At the snow park it was a bit busy. We had to wait a while to go snow tubing because there was a huge bump on the route down so someone was fixing it and blah blah yeah we had to wait. But the weather was fantastic! Slightly cloudy but that hardly phased us.
The snow at the top was so soft and feels fresh. We later went snow toboganning (I think that's what it was called) MULTIPLE times. It was the best experience of my life.
On our way back we went down to the restaurant to have hot chocolate. Just remember when the last gondola leaves cause if you miss it... you'll be stuck up there and will have to hike all the way down... so yeah, be careful about the time. Fortunately we left 30minutes before the last gondola.
Overall it was a fabulous experience! Spent an entire day on the top.
Don't forget to apply and then reapply your sunscreen. Don't take off your sunglasses because that super white snow will give you a headache. And finally, if you feel like you have trouble breathing because of the altitude, just sit down for a...
Read more5 Stars for FEAR FACTOR LOL. Absolutely incredible but scary. I am not scared of height but watching the ride and takeoff put me off; however I made friends with a couple who reassured me I would be perfectly safe and to do it so I did with every ounce of fear in my body lol.
The Ice Flyer seats a maximum of 6 people, we were five, you stand in position with your feet in place on the yellow footage signage then quickly sit down, if you have a bag/backpack, they recommend placing it in front of you, then the safety bar comes down with a bar between the legs and a footrest and off you go...
Unlike the cable cars that take off slowly the Ice Flyer catapults you to the first pylon before you go at a steady pace. I clinched my eyes closed then opened them only to gasp at the breathtaking views and the pure whiteness of the glacier below. I did scream a little but relaxed after a bit. You get off but there isn't much to see unless you want to do activities like Tubing/Sledging etc. So you queue to get on and off you go again. For someone who was already scared, when we had just literally set off the ride came to a halt. luckily we were not mid-air else I would have had a panic attack, I think this was due to someone dropping a packet of crisps before crew realised then resumed the ride.
Overall recommend guts to go on this ride as it is NOT for the faint hearted and it does take your...
Read moreAfter "been through" the amazing Cliff Walk attraction, we went straight to try the Ice Flyer as it's just next to it. It cost 12 CHF/ head (we brought the tickets when we brought the entrance tickets) It was first a bit difficult to get onto the seat but the staff was very kind as he slowed down to ensure we both got on. The ride was fast & a bit scary to begin with, but it might due to I sat on the right which could see the steep cliff on my right hand side... After the beginning 5 sec it then slowed down, the view of the snow hills underneath was amazing & the view of the snow mountain was breathtaking. It was so quiet as we could only hear nothing else but ourselves chatting. We didn't leave our seats when we got down but went straight up due to we were not skiing. There was a camera taking pics on the return ride, which cost an extra CHF19 if you purchased the picture. It was a wonderful experience and have to admit that it was the best & unforgettable few minutes we had on Titlis. Highly...
