Hello Everyone.
In this edition you will find an insight about my visit to Lucerne and Mount Titlis (Switzerland). We chose to visit Zurich and expereince Mt titlis on a weekend in the mid month of Sep-2019 along with my wife and two kids. On saturday we had a sight seeing in Zurich whereas in Sunday we went uphill to Mt Titlis. My This blog is mainly contributed to vist of Mt. Titlis. We had already booked our tour in advance from "Best of Switzerland Tours" via tripadvisor, so we started on a bright sunday morning from Zurich Shilaqi bus park which is about 5 minutes walk from Zurich main station. There we were provided with our tourist batchs and also were introduced to our tour guide. The bus was a double decer bus and we were lucky to get the 1st seat of the bus at the upperdeck.
It was a wonderful Experience, infact unforgettable moment of my life time so far. Starting with very organized trip to awesome landscapes enroute and no hurdles at all in getting to the sightseeing places (Lucerne and Engelberg to Titlis till the top).
On our way we had a stoppage for an hour at Lecerene, where we were been provided with the city guide map and advised about meeting point after an hour.
Lucerene is the central town in Switzerland on the shore of Lake Lucerene with the sight of mounts Pilatus, Rigi , Alps and Titlis. In Lucerene, being with kids we didnt happen to explore much of the city but whatever we had explored was awesome, we went to the famous lanmark of city "The Chapel Bridge" which is a 14th century woodden bridge beautifully decorated on river Reuss. We also had our refershment at Lucerne.
Again we started our journey towards Engelberg after at our decided time and now as we were coming towrads our desination the landscapes started becomeing more and more beautiful. At reaching Engelberg (Titlis Valley station ) we were been provided with a travel map and our access cards to mount Titlis, within no time we were in cable car and then after we had to change at stand station for furthur 360 degree rotory cable cable car ride. that lead us to the various level of titlis mountain station where we visited glaciar Cave, did the cliff walk after crosing the suspension bridge, Picture with famouus DDLJ poster mounment, enjoyed the breathtaking moment. After that we took ice flyer to land at Glacier park to experience snow sliding and all other snow activities. The decend was also via the same cable car and 360 degree rotory gondola.
At the end every moment spent there was simply awseome. It was very much more than as described in the description.
I would like to visit there again if ever...

I recently had the privilege of visiting Mt. Titlis, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! Located in the Swiss Alps, this mountain offers breathtaking views, thrilling activities, and a sense of adventure that will leave you feeling exhilarated and inspired.
From the moment we arrived at the base of the mountain, we were struck by the sheer scale and beauty of the surrounding landscape. The cable car ride to the top was a highlight in itself, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. But the real pièce de résistance was the panoramic view from the top of the mountain, which took our breath away.
The Titlis Rotair cable car is a marvel of engineering, and the ride is smooth and comfortable. The views from the top are simply stunning, with the surrounding mountains and valleys stretching out as far as the eye can see. We spent hours taking in the views, snapping photos, and simply enjoying the moment.
But Mt. Titlis is not just about the views – it's also an adrenaline junkie's paradise! We took part in the Titlis Cliff Walk, a thrilling experience that takes you along a narrow, suspended walkway with glass floor panels that offer a heart-stopping view of the valley below. It was an exhilarating experience that left us feeling exhilarated and invigorated.
The staff at Mt. Titlis were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. We also enjoyed the variety of restaurants and cafes at the top of the mountain, which offered a range of delicious food and drink options.
In short, Mt. Titlis is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves the outdoors, adventure, and breathtaking views. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or just looking for a relaxing day out, this mountain has something for everyone. We can't wait to come back and experience it all again!
Tips and Recommendations:
Be sure to book your tickets in advance, especially during peak season. Take your time and enjoy the views from the top – it's worth it! Read moreRacist, Inhumane & Disgraceful Behavior by Titlis Staff – A Traumatizing Experience for Indian Tourists
I’m writing this with utter disbelief and heartbreak after what my family went through at Titlis, Switzerland — a place that should be about beauty and joy, but became a site of deep humiliation for us.
My parents lost all their money on Titlis’ private property — a terrifying experience in a foreign country. Despite the shock, they returned to Titlis with no money, trusting that the company would help or at least show some basic human decency. Instead, the response from the Titlis staff was absolutely appalling.
They were rude, unhelpful, and deeply harassing. It felt as if they were accusing us of wrongdoing or worse — treating us like we were invisible, or criminals, for simply asking for help. There was no empathy, no kindness, and no attempt whatsoever to assist.
What made it even more horrifying was the blatant racism — they singled us out and treated us with hostility, clearly because we were Indian tourists. Their attitude made us feel like they believed we were at fault, as if they themselves had stolen our money, since it happened on their property and they refused to even check.
This wasn’t just bad service — this was humiliation, racial profiling, and emotional abuse. We were made to feel like second-class human beings. For a world-famous tourist site that claims to welcome people from all nations, Titlis failed miserably in every moral and professional way.
To the management of Titlis: You should be ashamed of the way your staff handled this. You need to take serious action, provide proper training, and deeply reflect on the kind of experience you’re giving non-white tourists.
To future travelers — especially people of color: Please be warned. We wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
Thank you for reading. I hope you never treat another family the way you...
