such a wonderful train journey with the best scenic view ever..the day was amazing so we got the best view going up and also in the terraced restaurant.we had icecream which was 10.50 chf but it was very yummy.we went as a family with 2 kids .so we find it difficult to walk up higher to the alpine garden with our buggy. you will love it and the traditional welcome from them as wel was wonderful. must visit..also I had the jungfrau pass for 5 days so it was all covered in that price..for price list pls check jungfrau website.

High above Interlaken in the Jungfrau Region of the Bernese Alps, lies the magnificent Schynige Platte. In order to reach the plateau one has to take a little rack railway from Wilderswil which takes around 45 minutes. Although the view from the top is splendid, the train ride up is even more fascinating. Curves and straight lines, scenic views over Thunersee and Brienzersee, as well as breathtaking sight on Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau is what awaits every passenger on the journey.

The Botanischer Alpengarten Schynige Platte is a botanical garden in the Swiss Alps, near Schynige Platte, at 1,967 meters altitude. It features around 600 species of alpine plants, including rare and endangered species. Accessible by a cogwheel train from Wilderswil, the garden aims to educate visitors about alpine flora and conservation. Open from late spring to early autumn, it also offers hiking trails with stunning views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains.

One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland I have seen. The mountain train from Wilderswil, near Interlaken, takes you up and the ride itself is great: lots of opportunities to take pictures as views are fantastic. We took a walk along a few trials there, which took a few hours but was not too hard. The view of the two lakes - Brienzersee and Thunnersee - from the top of the mountain is just spectacular.

On a sunny day, you are going to die of delight and wonder for the beauty all around. On a cloudy, slightly rainy day, you might survive with a light heart attack. The views are that breathtaking. Flowers all around, cliffs and valleys, the two massive lakes, and a hike that is only occasionally strenuous. Wear good hiking shoes and solid comfy socks. We took 400 photos, you might take more.

My favorite botanical garden tour. The train is a hoot and is a slow ride up the mountain. The place is classic spectacular all 360 degrees from the top. The hike is fun over Daube and then back down through the gardens. Lunch is grand and always clean fresh food and air. They are building a playground Outback of the resturant. Should be fantastic. Never disappoints always impressive.
