Read moreWe caught the train to Wengen from Lauterbrunnen valley. This is free with the Swiss Travel pass. We then caught the cable car from Wengen to Mannlichen which was half price with the Swiss travel pass (11.50 CHF each for a one way journey). The cable cars were frequent so even though the queue was big we were up there quickly. 95% of the people in our cable car were skiers as it was winter. The path is mostly flat and very family-friendly, making it accessible for children as well. We took the gondola up and hiked down, which allowed us to fully appreciate the breathtaking views. But do check the weather before booking tickets, we were blessed with a good day today.
As you near the end of the trail, there are plenty of restaurants, especially around the train station, making it easy to grab a bite after your trek. Overall, it was a fantastic day spent soaking in the beauty of nature—an experience that felt like a true testament to the wonders...
