This island is one of the 8 others on Lake Léman. Built in 1835 to protect the harbour where the wood coming from the Jura mountains was transported to Geneva. You can swim or row to or dock with a motor boat.

L'île est inscrite comme bien culturel suisse d'importance nationale5. Sa surface est de 2 368 m2, avec une longueur de 110 mètres et une largeur maximale de 30 mètres. Magnifique vue depuis les quais en face de l’île de la Harpe.

Très bel endroit avec une belle promenade le long du Léman. Bondé l'été, mais très calme l'hiver permet un dépaysement total. Toujours de très nombreux oiseaux.

Description
The Île de la Harpe is an island in Lake Geneva, located on the territory of the municipality of Rolle, in the canton of Vaud. It is an artificial island built in 1837. The island was named after the political leader Frédéric-César de La Harpe, after his death in 1838.
