Stiftung Tierpark Weihermätteli — Attraction in Liestal

We were here yesterday, beginning of January, so of course it’s not as nice visiting now as it would be, let’s say, in June. But we still had a lovely time, the whole park is lovely and even in January we got to see plenty of animals. The turtles were sleeping but the guinea pigs were super cute and the donkeys were happy and running around, which the kids loved! We shall come back when it’s spring, I’m sure it’s gonna be way more beautiful (although even like this it’s great!) There is a great playground right before you get to the animals, and that’s a great plus for anyone with kids. Also, the entrance is free but donations can be made within the park...

Paid parking available near by Free entrance (though if you wish to donate - QR code to twint is available near sponsors listing opposite to donkey) Can spend 1 to 2 hours with kids Many exhibits / animals (sheeps, goats, donkeys, wild pigs, Lama, horses, racoons, goose, ducks,.....) Cafeteria available for lunch / snack / drinks Well maintained and walk through Kids play area also available with a big Dino slide

Ideal place for short day visit.small park but enough space for children. There is a children play ground on the hill. you can touch some Animals. Eg Goats No too many varieties of Animal but a Nice park with hills water streams. Very close to the Liestal Train station.only 7 to 10 min walk. Around 900 m .no restaurant in the park. There are 2 restaurant in Basel Land psychiatric Hospital. Just behind the park . Enough parking spaces Available at...
