Superbe lac de montagne alpin, niché dans un décor naturel apaisant. On peut s’y garer facilement : les zones blanches près du lac permettent un stationnement de 4 heures avec un disque. Le tour du lac est assez rapide à faire, mais vraiment agréable et ça vaut largement le détour. Petite anecdote amusante : la pêche est interdite… sauf si vous scannez un QR code sur place ! Celui-ci vous redirige vers une page où, selon votre âge et moyennant une somme, vous pouvez obtenir un permis de pêche. Et le plus drôle ? Des poissons sont effectivement introduits dans le lac exprès pour ça ! Ne vaut-il pas mieux de les acheter directement au magasin ? ( ah bah non bien sûr le plaisir de la pêche.)

The Swiss is something else, the lake has a clear crisp water, a good dip after the long TMB trail. Didn’t eat this time at a restaurant, there are a few with a view of the lake. Can’t wait to get back.

I was on the tour du mont blanc trail coming from La fouly and heard that there was two ways to get to champex lac bus or hike i thought to myself that it would be cheating to take bus ,so I decided to hike to chamex lac and I did not realize that it was on the top of a freaking mountain!!it took me 4 very hard hours to get to the top on a consistent 90 degree angle !!! While it was dark and cold road and nobody around so if you dare to hike it know what your getting...

Nice and quiet little place, also called "little canada", this was one of the reasons why we had to check it out. It looks a lot like BC - lake, forest, mountains - all there.
