Just perfect! Deserves more than 5 stars. Lots of thoughtful things for family. The parc has so many details and is very well made. They have a train schedule with live tracking (better than German train) and even announcements (see video). So many different trains and train rides to take. Lots of free picnic areas for family, they even have microwaves free to use. The snack restaurant offers simple foods but at a very good quality. The chicken nuggets are made with good quality chicken, large pieces and you can tell homemade. They have real working steam locomotives ( not just fake steam/sound) and many famous trains from switzerland. Even a cogwheel train! The park has many scaled down paths and attractions. It's all half-sized or "children" scaled. They really modeled it after the real thing. If it weren't for the size it looks like the real thing. You can spend easily the whole day there. You can buy tickets in advance for better prices. I was one a schools day and it was well visited, most trains pretty full, so buy ahead. The care and detail that goes into the place is so amazing. You will have a great experience!!!

Le parc est un endroit calme et reposant. Chacun y trouve son compte et les enfants profiteront de tourner sur les trains sans limites à part celle de la fermeture. Suivant les gares de montée sur les trains, les parcours peuvent varier et durer un temps différent .. Gare principale .. tunnel, crémaillère, dépôt ... tout y est praticable .. En effet, le gros avantage d’une entrée unique avec accès illimité (comparé aux autres circuits similaires) est que l’on peut profiter de tout le reste ... restaurant, place de pic nic, place de jeux, bancs ... terrasses ... visiter le parc et y découvrir la faune et la flore, les bâtiments .. tout en regardant les trains circuler .. Le personnel est avenant et au top service .. on aime y retourner ., Il y a régulièrement des véhicules externes au parc qui viennent circuler ce qui donne un piment intéressant .. Les mesures covid sont appliquées.. Un truc à faire gaffe : les places de parc sont limitées .. l’horrible mange-fric (indépendant du Parc) est à nourrir obligatoirement pour le temps de présence et il faut mettre le ticket derrière le pare-brise sinon l’agent Longtarin passe inexorablement .. 😬 D’autres places de parc sont possibles à la gare ou en entrée de village vers la Migros. De celui-ci sont organisées des navettes gratuites les jours de forte affluence (bien se renseigner car à pied on en a pour un bon 30 à 45’).. Pour plus de bilan carbone, la gare est à 5’ à pied (1 train/heure) et le débarcadère à proximité pour ceux qui envisagent de prendre le bateau pour agrémenter la journée ..

Very nice place to go some hours with your son. It's not a big place but your kid will want to try all the trains. During the weekend there is a lot to people so it's complicated to have a place on the small trains. You can take your own picknick because there are some available tables to eat otherwise you can eat at the restaurant. The entry is not given and kids only pay after 6 years. Car parking outside costs 5 chf for all the day! but your train visit is done in 2 or 3 hours... If your son let's you... ;-)

This is a place that everyone should visit with their kids. We went there with our 7, 5, 4 years old kids. They collected the different colors of eggs, and they were very happy to participate in the Easter celebration 🐣. The only downside was that people didn't want to leave the trains so that other people would ride them to the next station. But that is just how people are, nothing to do with the organization. We all had a wonderful time.

Description
The Swiss Vapeur Parc is a miniature park in Le Bouveret, a village on Lac Léman, Switzerland. It was opened on June 6, 1989, by an International Festival of Steam. When the park opened its total surface area was 9000 m², but the park expanded and as of 2007, the park covers a surface area of 17'000 m².
