Musée des Traditions et des Barques du Léman — Attraction in Saint-Gingolph

Beautiful little museum all about life on and around the lake with special regards to the boats and people of St-Gingolph. I loved learning all about how the life of the lake has changed over the years and how the people of St-Gingolph earned their living from the lake. It is a stark reminder of how hard people's lives were compared to the romanticism surrounding the beautiful boats.

We spent almost two hours here and there is a half an hour film to watch in French which is fascinating. We asked if we could watch it and the lady came to put it on for us which was no problem. Everything is in French apart from some of the old English...
