This is a very easy hike with a lot to offer. Views are constantly changing, one side lake, the other side ocean, there is also biggest Tao temple in Taiwan and tea garden along the way. For a 2 hours hike, it offers lots of variety. Easy for kids...

得安村井仔頭福德宮(茅埔城古道起點)茅埔城古道~梅花湖小島吊橋約5.04K、

梅花湖小島吊橋~福德宮(茅埔城古道起點)1.71K

早年在此開墾的先民們，就地取材，以茅草為屋頂，興建家園，故名茅埔城。茅埔城位於宜蘭縣冬山鄉西部邊陲地帶的梅花社區，此處在早期算是蠻偏遠的地方，直到晚近，漢人才開始進駐進行開墾的工作。當地有兩句諺語，可以充分表現出此地在漢人開墾蘭陽平原歷史中的特殊性（地處偏遠與生活不易）：

第一句是（走到茅埔城：盡尾步了）茅埔城今屬冬山鄉得安村一帶，這是漢人最靠近泰雅族部落的村落，也是漢族開墾蘭陽平原的頂點，「走到茅埔城」表示已經走到盡頭了。

另一句是（查某子甘願斬給豬母吃　也不願嫁茅埔城）...
