Meihua Hu — Attraction in Dongshan

I was really impressed by how well maintained the lake and surrounding tourist attraction are. The local government definitely put in effort to make this tourist destination more family-oriented and tourist-friendly. Parking is very convenient. There are several vendors that rent out bicycles or tandem bikes (2, 4, or 6 seaters). There is a well-paved path that goes around the lake, which is suitable for strolls, jogs, or bike rides. Many visitors (my family included) would rent out a bike and do a quick tour around the lake. There are several spots you can park the bike on the side and take some photos or walk down closer to the edge of the lake. The path has like three uphill sections so make sure everyone riding the bike at least put in some effort lol.

Is it the most scenic lake in Taiwan? Not really. But it is a fun experience...

We came here after visiting 心花鹿Fun farm, which is within walking distance. 梅花湖 features a beautiful lake with a lush green hill as its backdrop.

We rented an electric bicycle for 4 pax and had a relaxing ride around the lake, enjoying the cool breeze. There’s also a small island connected to the park by a bridge. We parked our bicycle along the path and walked over to the island to take some photos.

For lunch, we stopped at 天ㄟ咖啡 (TAN-A CAFE) in the park and enjoyed a delicious meal. The cafe served good coffee, and the different variety of waffles with ice cream was a real treat.

The lake is home to geese and koi fish, and the kids had fun feeding them with food purchased from a nearby stall. The calm and peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place for a family outing.

梅花湖介紹

衝浪

你是否也曾著迷海上那些帥氣的浪人們站在衝浪板上馳騁於海浪之間，踩著板子無拘無束衝過一道又一道的長浪，幻想著自己也 能成為乘風破浪的衝浪客，但卻沒有足夠勇氣站上衝浪板。不過衝浪確實也被視為一項難度頗高的水上運動，加上長時間面對未知大海，除了勇氣更需要技術。

其實在台灣想要衝浪也沒有這麼困難，許多浪點附近都有提供衝浪板租借及簡易教學，透過專業教練帶領，很快就能輕鬆入門。加上衝浪在台灣不是夏天的專屬活動，因為東北季風的關係，秋冬的浪比起夏天來更好衝，夏天適合初學者加入衝浪行列、秋冬就適合玩家高手挑戰管浪，衝浪在台灣是一年四季都很適合的運動喔！

今年夏天超夯的立槳SUP活動，不只容易上手，還能輕鬆與三五好友擺拍。不會游泳或是沒有經驗的新手只需經過專業教練的指導，無論是誰都能瀟灑站立於板上，用槳划行和做出衝浪的動作，簡單易學，適合各年齡層參與的水上運動，還可帥氣的在湛藍大海中站在板子上，拍出美美的照片。

SUP是介於獨木舟和衝浪之間的運動，主要是利用槳在水面上划動，不僅能在平坦水面或湖泊輕鬆上手，更能使用於海上衝浪，第一次玩SUP的新手，建議一開始可以先選擇溪流、湖泊平穩一點的水域比如日月潭，如果喜歡天然奇岩，可選擇較為平穩的海域，會比較輕鬆好上手。

透過SUP還能探索陸地無法抵達的絕美秘境，享受在水面上巡航，在動人景致拍下一張張美照，上傳IG打卡，也可依SUP體驗時段欣賞不同景致，划槳看日出或賞夕陽，這也是SUP迷人之處。
