Xingzhong Night Market — Attraction in Kaohsiung

A small night Market with very little variety of food. Traffic flow was quite high here where a lot of scooter may come in all directions to buy food from the stalls here as well as its situated on the streets. So do be careful and keep a look out for traffic. Only managed to try the sausage wrap stall located near the entrance. Cost me NT$50 but it was nice and flavorful with lots of garlic cloves and pickle ginger slices. Xingzhong is smaller, about half the size of the other night markets in the area, namely Jhongsiao to the north and Guanghua to the east. It runs one avenue from north to south.

This market consists of the usual foods one would find, noodles, soups, stews, rices, etc. if one were in the area, I would suggest going in a loop around all three and taking a bathroom break, pitstop at a small park, such as Minquan Park, along the southern leg.

Selection is good and you got to be aware of traffic while walking, lots of scooters stopping and zipping by, typical in the streets of Taiwan and it is safe as they are aware of pedestrians. The usual fares in Taiwan night market. However, this place seems to be open even in the morning, with more stalls opening in the evening. Really near SOGO, Sanduo MRT station. Worth a visit if...
