I Hope one day I would have the joy to modify my comment : too much plastic on that beach ! Tons of plastic waste everywhere : on the sand you have plastic like cups, caps, bags, covers, bottles and so other many things. On the sea? It’s the same to not say worst. I spent the whole day with my wife collecting plastics and putting them in the big trash available on the beach…some people imitated me. The others ? It seems it doesn’t disturb them. That’s so sad because the spot is wonderful and convenient (nice restaurants, showers, toilets, parasol…) I really hope it...

This is a hidden treasure in the north coast. Not many tourist or foreigners know this place as the public transportation is limited. There will be many locals reach here to enjoy the perfectly clear pool like beach with no much tides whick makes safe swimming for kids too. You will love to spend at least couple of hours if you get into the water. There are few private bathrooms on the road side to have shower later. You can also bring your tent and enjoy beach side...

DISCLAIMER: if you do not drive here, be careful when commuting. The walk from the bus to the beach would be dangerous for kids (see picture). It's windy roads and no real sidewalk.

Other than that, the beach was wonderful. There were lifeguards who looked out for the safety of everyone. Remember to swim and play near the middle as it can get dangerous on the sides. The water temperature was so good!

There are also washrooms here, and areas where you can...

Nice little beach 40 mins away from Taipei, so very convenient for a day trip. End of morning was nice but then the water really started to be dirty in the middle of the beach (side were ok). We did snorkling but stopped as we all got beaten several times by jello fish. In short, good place to enjoy the weather, view and drink some wine. Not so nice for swimming/snorkling

Be super careful coming to this beach. It's a really beautiful view of the water and the mountainside, but as soon as I stepped in the sand, my toe was cut by something. The sand is really unclean and has a lot of debris like nobody cleans it. Definitely need closed toed shoes, but at least the water was ok.
