「文開書院」自從民國七十三年修建後，就欠缺完善的管理，古蹟再度殘破，基於此現象，鹿港文青會提倡能夠重新思考文開書院，讓文開書院的保存不再只是一個〔死〕的古蹟，只成為遊客的觀光點，而是要讓「文開書院」的利用能符合它的學習與人文特性，因此目前由朝陽鹿港協會負責，對文開學院做整體規劃，預期將之兼具歷史古蹟、文教藝術、觀光休閒與宗教民俗等四大功能。 Since the establishment of the Wenkai Academy in the Republic of China in 1973, there has been a lack of sound management and the monuments have been broken again.
