"Sharon Beach" is located in Tamsui District, New Taipei City. It is one of the famous bathing beaches in Tamsui. The history of Sharon Beach can be traced back to the Japanese colonial period. It was one of the few bathing beaches in Taiwan open to the general public at that time. After the war, it gradually became a popular place for Shuangbei citizens to cool off in summer. With the development of the city and the improvement of environmental protection awareness, Sharon Beach has been renovated and cleaned many times, and now it has become an unmanaged beach. It still attracts a large number of tourists to come to ride the waves and relax.
Sharon Beach has hundreds of meters of deep golden sand beach. There are no dense vegetation and pavilions around the beach to provide visitors with shelter from the sun. You need to bring your own parasol! There are also bicycle trails and walking trails near the bathing beach, allowing tourists to engage in leisure sports while enjoying beach activities.
To get to Sharon Beach, you can take the Tamsui MRT line to Tamsui Station, then transfer to a bus or taxi and it will take half an hour to get there. Visitors who drive there can park at the Fisherman's Wharf parking lot near the bathing beach. The transportation options are diverse...
