We stayed here for two different days. One booked using trip.com and one booked using booking.com
The room which we booked without breakfast does not have any partition between bathroom and bedroom. There is no rack to put shampoo/toiletries in the shower room, the clothes rack in the shower room is also very near the shower head. It just doesn’t make sense that there is no partition between the bathroom and bedroom. I will have to open my shower door to take towel and stuffs. It seems like it used to have a curtain to separate the two areas but not sure why it was taken out.
The other room which we booked with breakfast is perfect. It has a proper bathroom with bathtub.
The room is huge with two side by side queens bed. The beds are comfort but the pillows is very soft. Do ask for extra pillows if you not used to thin pillows.
The breakfast is average. Nothing to wow about and there are enough varity to fill your stomach. The staff service is average, not very cheerful and they just ask us leave our luggage at the side without giving us a luggage tag. We trusted that they take good care of the luggages. Luckily all are honest tourist here, when we were back to collect the luggages, they also did not check or ask anything, and we just grab our luggage freely and left.
Anyway the hotel is still at great value compare to Taipei city, given the room size, location...
Read moreThis is by far one of the most pleasant hotel I had stayed in Taiwan this trip and the hotel has many great things to talk about. It is near the famous Lover bridge and Tamsui Harbour and it is about 15 mins walk there. Or you can take a bus about a few stop if you prefer not to.||The room is cosy and the lighting and all is simply fantastic. Although it is located in the neighborhood area, it has a 7-11 nearby and also a great authentic thai massage just a short walk away.||One great feature this hotel has is a time machine postcard which you can send a postcard to yourself one year in the future. I think this is a fantastic idea and although I have not receive it, I do hope I will and I will remember of this place. The hotel also has its own mascot and a whole range of great exhibits of creative art which is really nice at the waiting area. ||The only reason why this location did not get a full 5* from me is that there seems to be a little bit of hygienic issue at the breakfast area. I did noticed bugs near the drinks area but it was too fast for me to capture it on camera. I wasn't too bothered by it, but this seems to be a really new hotel so I hope if you are the staff reading this, please take care of it. ||Still, other than that, this is a wonder place. But do plan your own transport here as it is not near the...
Read moreDon’t be fooled, the “free” parking is limited to 10 lots (always full even when I tried coming in at 6pm, 7pm or 8pm) and the alternative is a carpark that is located 8 mins away from the hotel. Together with the summer heat and your bags, that ensured a great start to our trip. You could park at a nearer carpark or along the roads around the hotel but you’ll only be reimbursed for 60TWD (again, free is not the right word the hotel should be using to advertise)
The room was generally OK and the housekeeping team was efficient. towels had a funky smell and amenities had to be requested daily. Breakfast was nothing to rave about - speaks volumes when the highlights were fried nuggets and hash browns meant for kids.
Some staff were understanding and helpful when communicating the above problems, others couldn’t find it in them to be remotely empathetic about the problems and simply repeated the scripted answers given to them.
Overall, hotelday isn’t the worst choice you can make when visiting tamsui but you could do a lot better with your money with a hotel with a better location or...
