I bet many of us do not know that Taiwan makes some of the worlds best alcohol. Cooking alcohol like Shaoxing. Chinese varieties the likes of Nu Er Hong or Gao Liang. Sake and even Whiskies.

An interesting place to learn about Shao Xing wine production, aging and development. They had a mini museum, lots of earthen aging jars and some ceramic Jeroboams of aged Shao Xing wine worth 400/500k.

They also had a display of the whole manufacturing, brewing and bottling process. Part of their display was aged European and New World wines. You can taste their products for 50 NT$ a pop and they give you a glass as a present.
