Taichung Veterans General Hospital — Attraction in Taichung

Parts of my complain to the hospital which I'm still awaiting reply:

We just finished birth and 3 days with our newborn at your hospital.

All in all an unacceptable stay!

When we arrive she is told to stay in bed all the time. There is not medical reason for this as other hospitals around the world don't necessarily require this.

She was given many kinds of medicine without us even being told what it is.

After the birth we get a 3 people room om the 7th floor. One of the other beds is noisy all the time. The first night they turn on a/c without asking us and we have to tell them to turn it off. Second day they play loud music and watch movies with makes it impossible for our kid to sleep. At that day we ask for another room but all full. We also tell the nurses they are too noisy but they don't do anything. My wife told them to be quite on the second day which just made them louder. The last day (today), I ask them to be quite and have an argument with the husband. Their guests talk loud, they closes closets loudly, using the curtain loudly, put things down on the table loudly etc.

There are abundant medical resources here.Doctors and nurses are professional and attentive.It is convenient because of parking lot,and there is License plate recognitioner which makes you pay parking fee easier.The only thing you need to do is entering your license plate number before leaving. Medical equipments keep updating,improving the experience of patient,and it brings comfortibility to them. I was impressed with its food court. There are some vegetarian restaurants,Starbucks,Mos Burger and a convenience store,which opens 24/7.there are some desserts,like a red bean cake or a scallion pie for an afternoon tea. This is a great hospital for Americans to study who are interested in the single-payer model of health care.

The way they handle the large volume of patients is very systematic and efficient.

Numerous waiting areas with chairs that are comfortable and plentiful.

If you arrive on time for your appointments, you probably won’t have to wait too long. There’s a phone app where you can monitor your place on line for each room.

The two food courts with convenience stores and coffee shops are a nice touch you don’t see in many American hospitals.

There are also numerous filtered water machines throughout the hospital where you can dispense cool, warm, or hot water into your own container. This is something that America...
