It such a great chaple. It has beautiful view. A lot of tree and grass, that makes this chaple green. This chaple located in Tunghai University. So, from the gate you need to walkin. For me its Little bit for from the shelter. There is parking palete for bus and car next to caple. Near of the chaple there is night market called Tunghai University night market. Thing that makes this chaple special is the share of of the chaple itself. Its look like triangle, but it was not like exactly triangle.
FYI, Tunghai University is one of the oldest University in Taiwan. For me they have unique architecture. Then, it feels like in the old days. This university is big, you take picture in order place. Because in other place has some good spot for take a picture.
A lot of people are coming here. They have event on christmas.

Read moreThis chapel is located in a university campus in Taichung. It’s a little tricky to find as you have to go into the campus and follow signs to get there.
Architecturally, it’s beautiful for sure, at least from the outside. I was not able to go inside. outside on the lawn are many students relaxing, studying, taking picture, or eating. Even a few stray dogs were just sleeping on the lawn in the sun.
This location comes up as a landmark in Taichung in a google search, but unless you’re really into architecture or Christianity, this place is probably a spot you could skip. Honestly just an other building.
Not much to it other than its unique shape and design. Even around the university, not much going on. Just students going to and from classes.
If in Taichung again, I definitely would not visit again. Pretty, but also...
Read moreNot sure about the spiritual value, but I love the architecture. We went even though Google warned us that the chapel would be closed. Turned out there were back-to-back events, but the local pastor invited us in as we arrived just after one service. But even just from the outside the church is superb and sits exposed ina large meadow. The internal is striking. The history is interesting too -- the inspiration was a Yale-trained Presbyterian missionary whose son, a publisher, provided the funds for the church. It was a treat ... it is just wonderful what a great architect like I.M. Pei and Chi-kwan...
